Sunrise in virginia beach, va, captured by @nickrizzo_ "this was one of those sunrises that came out of nowhere. it had been cloudy all week leading up to this morning and i knew that going out to shoot would be a gamble. luckily, there was just enough of a break in the clouds for some vibrant light and colors to shine through for all of about 10 minutes, then it was gone. but those 10 minutes made it worth it πŸ€™πŸ»." | a7 iii | 16-35mm f2.8 gm | 16mm | f9 | 1/60 sec | iso 100 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

Today, on the third day of our #aicdoesjapan trip, we took the bullet train to see what the city of kyoto had to offer. here's a shot #alphacollective member @monaris_ captured at one of our stops for the day, fushimi inari taisha. "i've always wanted to visit this place. as i was walked through the vibrant pillars, i couldn't stop myself from staring. the place was packed, so i waited patiently for one person to pass by to capture this shot. patience is key." | a7r iii | 24-70mm 2.8 gm | 25mm | f2.8 | 1/160 | iso 320 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

πŸ“·: @derekrliang "the creative process behind each photo begins long before and long after pressing the shutter on your camera. from exploring a new location or an old one that deeply resonates with us, to finding that perfect composition that fills the frame, to pressing the shutter to freeze it in time, and then to finally post-processing the photo to way we saw it in our minds in that very moment — to me, this very process is what drives my passion for photography." | a7 iii | 16-35mm f2.8 gm | 26mm | f9 | 1/160 sec | iso 100 |ο»Ώ #sonyalpha #bealpha

Views from inside the beautiful tokyo international forum captured by #alphacollective member @phives. if you haven’t heard the news yet, we are currently exploring japan this week with a group of awesome and talented photographers. be sure to check out our story for more πŸ‘†πŸ½ #aicdoesjapan

“as i'm sure this is the case with most photographers that visit tokyo, i had a pretty extensive bucket list of spots i wanted to shoot. the forum was definitely a location that far surpassed expectations. with so many different perspectives to shoot both inside and out, it was difficult to pick and set up for just a few under the time constraints. despite putting the tripod to use, my best shot/composition ended up being hand-held, 1/15 second, and at iso 1000. don't be afraid to test the limits of your camera.” | a7r iii | 16-35mm f2.8 gm | 16mm | f2.8 | 1/15 | iso 1000 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

πŸ“·: @flotodiary "after three hours walking through the cold and stormy weather of faroe islands, i finally reached this awesome place. this is a place i've always dreamed of seeing live once. as i often do when i try to get the perfect shot, i waited for hours looking at this massive sea stack and waiting for the optimal weather conditions for this photo. probably a day i will never forget." | a7 iii | 24-70mm f/2.8 gm | f8 | 20 sec | iso 100 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

We are currently in japan with the #alphacollective exploring tokyo and kyoto's streets and culture. here's a view of the tokyo skytree captured by photographer @dane.isaac taken during day one of our trip πŸ‘‰ “the first 24 hours in tokyo have been non-stop action. this image was taken right after experiencing the insane views from the tokyo skytree. i wanted to take an image that expressed my state of being. the feeling of my creativity resorting, the itch to create; feeling born again like the spring. in this scene, i framed the upper part of the sky tree with the petals of the plum blossoms. i wanted to have the color of the blossoms fill the frame in the foreground with not much detail.” | a7r iii | 85mm f1.4 gm | f2.5 | 1/4000 | iso 320 |

we will be sharing here throughout the week, so be sure to check out our page, instagram story, and hashtag #aicdoesjapan to follow along! #sonyalpha #bealpha

πŸ“·: @mardimar "spring is one of my favorite times of the year. this image was taken during sunrise at the wooden shoe tulip farm in oregon and conditions couldn't have been more perfect for a crisp spring morning. creating an image that takes the person's eyes from the bottom of the photo, stopping occasionally to take in the details, and continuing throughout the frame is something that i strive for when capturing a photo. in this scene, getting low and using my telephoto lens to bring in the mt. hood along with the beauty of the tulips in front of me was exactly how i wanted to tell the story. glad i am able to bring my vision of spring to life and to share it with others." | a7r ii | 70-200 f4 g | 192mm | f10 | 1/30 | iso 125 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

Photographer @spacebypixel shares this fresh perspective of the three sisters in alberta, canada β›° "sometimes the best images i have taken were captured on days where i was very hesitant on even going out to shoot. this morning, in particular, was very gloomy and didn't look worth pursuing. my group insisted we head out because it was our last day. need less to say, i was not disappointed." | #sonyalpha a7r iii | 70-200mm f2.8 gm | 200mm | f2.8 | 1/1000 | iso 400 | #alphacollective #bealpha

Got weekend plans? this shot from #alphacollective member @vincelimphoto makes us want to go on a road trip this weekend πŸš™πŸ’¨ "the most important part of an adventure is the journey to get there. i spotted this beautiful vw van on the west side of oahu at sunset and knew i had to take a photo of it. the people in there were laughing and having a great time after a successful day of surfing. as the sky erupted in color, all i could think about were my previous adventures with friends, family, and loved ones." | a7r ii | 24-70mm f2.8 gm | 24mm | f3.2 | 1/100 | iso 100 | #sonyalpha #bealpha

Photographer @trystane shares this shot from bangkok, thailand taken with the #sonyalpha a7r iii. put your “πŸ‘‹πŸ½” below if you've been here before!

"i got this shot on my second sunrise - the first sunrise was not good enough and there were too many tourists so i had to come back. visiting the same place twice is like watching a movie for the second time, you will always find something new." | a7r iii | 16-35 gm | 16mm | f6.3 | 1/125 | iso 100 | #bealpha

A few of our favorite recent shots from photographer @mmeyers76, who has just joined our alpha imaging collective (#alphacollective)! here's a little background on how he got into photography πŸ‘‰πŸ½ "after an extensive journey as a writer/creative director in the ad industry, i found photography and was hooked immediately. i loved how it completely changes the way you look at the world - you notice so many things you missed before. and it’s exposed me to countless experiences and opened up opportunities to explore and connect with people i otherwise would likely have never met. i’m always stoked to see where the next adventure takes me, and could not be more excited and honored to be joining the alpha collective." #sonyalpha #bealpha
