My piece for @riseexhibition , a group show of artwork created using charcoal from the australian bushfires 🌳 the artworks will be auctioned with all sales going to support bushfire relief. i have chosen to give my sale to blaze aid ❤️ my piece is about what it’s like to watch your home burn from far away. it was very surreal to hold a a burnt piece of australia in my hands all the way here in canada.
swipe for a time lapse! and check out @riseexhibition to see the insane lineup of artists contributing. exhibition and auction details will be announced soon!
ps. thanks to everyone who followed my process on stories! 💕
Practice portrait of shokyokusai tenkatsu (1886-1944), a japanese magician 🎩 swipe for zoomies and the original reference photo. how fabulous is her outfit?! a male morning jacket and bloomers was definitely daring for the early 1900s. thank you @georgian_diaspora for posting about this fascinating lady ❤️ i loveeee your profile and wish i could draw everyone you’ve featured!

Quick i’m-so-angry/i-feel-helpless doodle because i can’t do a thing to support the australian bushfire relief other than to donate money, and to spread awareness for the cause. if you can, please spare some 💰 to a charity like @redcrossau or @wireswildliferescue (you can find more if you google how to help). this season’s bushfires are unprecedented and heartbreaking and half a billion animals have died and people have lost everything and the prime minister thinks that the cricket is more important than paying firefighters. 🙏
