Earlier this month we had a few friends round for the sixth mossley soup event. these are organised by local volunteers as a way to raise awareness and funds for local projects. it was another fantastic evening and we can’t wait for the next one!

Some of you may only know us as a rather large charity shop. here at emmaus mossley we offer a home, work and support to 26 previously homeless people at any given time. the people we support gain skills and experience in every area of our secondhand superstore. we also encourage volunteering or solidarity outside of our community.

emmaus mossley is one of 29 independent emmaus communities in the uk, part of the @emmausuk federation. we are also part of a global emmaus movement with more than 350 groups spread across the globe.
this world homeless day please follow the link in our bio to discover more about our charity and the people we support.

It was a very proud moment for cookie today as he was given the honour of cutting the ribbon to the doodle on ducie street. he was one of 40 people to contribute to this fantastic piece of public art. do take a look when you’re next in town.

We start the week with this stunning sideboard by sutcliffe of todmorden. as the strap line stays, it’s ‘worth crowing about’.
