Wir alle haben tage an denen es uns nicht so gut geht! deshalb ist eines der mächtigen tools überhaupt, verhaltensweisen oder routinen zu speichern, die einem in solchen situationen gut tun & diese anzuwenden, auch wenn man sich nicht immer danach fühlt ✨

komischerweise greifen wir in solchen situationen häufig zu verhaltensweisen, die uns alles andere als gut tun. zum handy, auch wenn es mal weg sollte. zu ungesundem essen, zu viel koffein anstatt einfach mal mehr zu schlafen. vielleicht auch zu sport, obwohl ein spaziergang besser wäre. vielleicht weil die dinge bequemer sind oder weil wir nicht richtig nachdenken. manchmal handelt man intuitiv „richtig“ - manchmal aber auch nicht. das ist der zeitpunkt, in dem gespeicherte verhaltensweisen wertvoll sind ✨

your core is the foundation to most of not all movements. having a strong core can prevent lower back pain and promote good posture. to do this it is not only important to work those big abdominal muscles but all those stabilizer muscles as well!🤓

this exercise is called stir the pot. there are two ways you can perform this exercise. i am currently performing the more challenging way by elevating my feet off the ground making this an even more unstable movement. you can also and should start with you feet on the ground until your build up strength to perform the more challenging movement. .
to perform this movement you will place you feet on the ground elbows in the middle of the ball and push into a plank position. make sure you are squeezing not only your core but your glutes as well. once stable start to move your arms in a circle like you are storing a pot.😊 get ready to feel every single muscle in you core work to keep you up on that ball!

My current training split 💥

choosing your training split revolves around factors that are specific to you 🙋🏼‍♀️ here are a few factors to consider:

i am currently on a 7 day training split 🥵😅 i train 2x/ day: gym for about an hour 15 followed by a 45 minute outdoor walk or run 🏃🏼‍♀️ .
this is what my week looks like:

❌ monday: legs- glute and hamstring focused. 45 minute outdoor walk
❌ tuesday: back and biceps. 45 minute outdoor walk/ run interval
❌ wednesday: shoulders/ chest/ triceps and abs. 45 minute outdoor walk
❌ thursday: legs- quad focused. 1 hour outdoor yoga flow
❌ friday: upper body circuit. 45 minute outdoor walk
❌ saturday: abs and hiit. 45 minute outdoor walk/ run interval
❌ sunday: 1 hour yoga flow. 45 minute outdoor walk

To grow your glutes you need to get stronger by utilizing progressive overload. there’s a couple of ways to do this efficiently without increasing you’re risk of injury.
🔺 most common increasing load
🔺increasing # of reps or sets
🔺 increasing time under tension

i’m doing 3 sets x 8-10 reps (1 rep = 1 1/2 reps)
this is one way to increase your time under tension. the key is to challenge yourself by still using relatively heavy weight. this will also help you grow muscle because you’re working with different rep ranges.

sometimes i do sets of 6, sets of 12, or even sets of 20-25. it all depends on what muscle you’re working and if you’re training for strength or hypertrophy.

It’s been 3 1/2 months since my energy levels were high enough to deadlift. that’s why i’m 🧀in so big 😁

🎬‼press de pecho : si lo venis trabajando y no vez resultados, se puede aumentar la intensidad y trabajarlo de manera diferente realizando simplemente modificaciones en la postura:

. ✅ la posicion de la espalda : siempre se recomendó mantener la espalda apoyada pero cuando se tiene cierto dominio podemos arquear ligeramente la espalda lo que nos hará centrar toda la tensión y así poder levantar más peso ‼👆❌no es para cualquiera ya que sufren los lumbares si no hay cierto grado de dominio siempre con asesoramiento profesional.

. ✅realizar el movimiento más completo y de manera profunda. para ello utilizar menos carga ya que el movimiento hará siempre que en cada descenso lleguemos a tocar todos los músculos que lo componen e incidir más en ellos . es recomendable de manera lenta y controlada aguantando al máximo la tensión. .
.✅ la posición de los pies bien firme en el suelo nos dará más firmeza ,fortaleza y potencia a la hora de trabajar con pesos más pesados.

Man has it been one heck of a month (the last 30 days) have been interesting, challenging, growth-creating and has created more faith and intention in me than the past 30 years have. 💥 building @stuffumnaturals, working on more things for @fitbeautetraining, being a wife, mom, business owner etc. is hard but has brought me to a place where i am more accepting of myself in all stages of growth, even the loss of some things because i can see amazing things ahead. god never let's you settle on your past because your future is even better🙌

Upper body/ core / cardio
#cardio - started this workout with a 3 mile run, getting progressively faster each half mile. the last 1/2 is just going for it. what pace can you maintain. i love this style cardio bc it’s quick, you improve your vo2 max (ability to improve your run time let’s just say), you burn calories after it’s done as well as while your doing it. also you can use the first half mile as your warm-up.
the workout- grab a #bosu and some #dumbells set your timer for 35-40 seconds work 20seconds rest and get to work. i did 4 rounds. i also want to start spotlighting some of my favorite @bowmar_nutrition products and how i like to use them. first up is the dolche de leche protein. i’m obsessed with it mixed in cold brew. it tastes amazing!!! use code: barbara .

Bank holiday workout. solo workout after such a long time, felt tough but really good. this needs to be more of a regular installment 🛠 💪 🏋️‍♂️ ⚫ ✊ 💭
1: kettlebell swings (normal > single)
2: barbell back row / deadlift
3: dumbell s****h
4: squats / lunges
5: clean and press (really struggled here, with everything🤓)
6: one arm row
7: push-ups / press-ups (alternative)
8: dumbell crunch with med ball
9: dumbell shoulder press (tried to with a struggle, wrist issues 😅)
10: dumbell push-up sprawl
