Today, during my workout, i thought about my four year old who runs non-stop just because it’s fun and he loves it and he can. i think children have cracked the code to exercise consistency: find something fun. 🤸‍♂️ find something you love. ❤️ remember the fact that you can exercise is a seriously huge blessing. 🙌 ⠀

🔥 loved the energy this group brought to the open. being in an environment where everyone is rooting for eachother is awesome. participating in my first open, i learnt alot about my strengths and weaknesses. it's cool to see where i sit on the leaderboard and how i stack up against everyone else in the world.

🏅 finished up in the 65th percentile. looking at each individual workout, i know i definitely need to work on my hspus (20.3). it's nice to know that my strength under a heavier barbell isn't too bad (20.4). overall, building a bigger engine and work capacity is in the works.

excited to see how far i can push my body.

today i experienced someone very close to me blaming herself for a situation that she is in.
even if she was the cause of it, living in guilt and condemnation will not resolve the issue nor turn back the hand of time.
don't sit there and agree with them. speak life over the situation and the person.
once you gave your life to christ he stop looking at you and only sees himself in you.

“it’s a cult”⠀

“it’s unsafe”⠀

“these people think it’s a sport”⠀

“look at those s****d pull ups”⠀

i’ve heard it all.⠀

but quite honestly, crossfit gave me something nothing else ever could. it gave me self confidence.⠀

i grew up believing i was unworthy. i believed that my appearance was the only thing that gave me any worth in this world. if i wasn’t beautiful...i was nothing. ⠀

now, after the crossfit newbie adjustment period (and it is intense at the start), i stopped caring as much about my bodies shape, and more about its strength. those pr’s were not just me lifting more, but me believing in my body and minds capability to do and be better. ⠀

i cared less about the outside worlds opinion of me because i knew that i was strong. i felt healthy, and i committed to treating my body well, which is something i had never done before. ⠀

besides all of that, the primary reason i am still crossfit obsessed is summed up in this picture of me squeezing the bejesus out of my partner after we completed the last workout of a competition....it’s the community that makes it. i feel part of something great. ⠀

i may not be a superstar out there, but i am so proud of how far i’ve come and the friends i’ve made. ⠀

crossfit truly changed my life. ⠀

12 week challenge client spotlight

this dynamic duo absolutely crushed the 12 w/c and the results speak for themselves. they both gave 100% every session and mostly did what i asked them to do.
.
there was no ridiculous dieting involved just hard work, hit protein amount and being mindful of what they ate.
.
all i do is teach people the principles of f*t loss and steer them in the right direction when they need help.

Felt really good about this nice and easy 180 kg clean and j**k today. worked up to this in about 30 min with minimal effort. this is starting to feel more like an opener. a few more weeks and some big lifts will be there on the platform. confidence is growing! 🔥🤘🏼
