Fruit flavoured yoghurt pots! ditch the flavoured supermarket yoghurts filled with sugar, preservatives and artificial fruit flavours. we bought some strawberries at the farmers market this week so made a batch of strawberry and vanilla yoghurt. delicious and sustaining! #wholestart #wholefood #wholefoods #wholefoodfamily #yoghurt

225g/1.5 cups strawberries
2 soft pitted dates
1/4 tsp ground vanilla or 1 tsp vanilla extract
500ml thick, full-fat plain unsweetened yoghurt
place strawberries, dates and vanilla in processor until smooth. stir through yoghurt.

50g almond meal
200g sulphur free dried apricots
1 tbs orange juice
2 tbs water
70g desiccated coconut + extra for rolling.
3 tbs wheat germ
1-2 tbs maple syrup
place ingredients into food processor until the mixture comes together.
take heaped teaspoons of mixture, roll into balls and coat with coconut.

put in airtight container in fridge.

Vegetable flatbread! a handy way to up your veggie intake by @gkstories. this beet flatbread is simply made with beetroot, cauliflower, ground almonds and eggs. i’ve cut mine sandwich sized, but you could also make mini pizza’s or cut them into smaller pieces and use along with your favourite dip. i will let you know if my kids approve! recipe on website. #wholestart #wholefood #wholefoods #wholefoodfamily

Meatballs with hidden liver! adding a few spoons of liver pate to your meatballs or burgers is another easy way of supercharging your families meals. liver is one of the best sources of bio-available vitamin a and contains all the b vitamins. this recipe from @changinghabits_hq also has turmeric which is a powerhouse in the spice world. if your little one isn’t use to pate or spices, just use very small quantities to start. great for a snack or lunchbox filler, i serve ours with tatziki #wholestart #wholefood #wholefoods #wholefoodfamily
500 grass-fed beef mince
2 tbsp pate
salt & pepper to taste
½ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp all spice
1 tsp changing habits turmeric powder
olive oil for cooking
½ zucchini grated – remove any excess liquid
½ small onion, finely diced
1. add all the ingredients into a large bowl and combine.
2. roll the mince into meatballs and place them onto the pan to cook.
3. remove the meatballs from the pan once they are golden brown all over and cooked through.

It's a veggie roast kinda day today!! ๐Ÿ˜

i just opened the fridge and took every vegetable i could find. air fried onions, capsicum, carrot, sweet potato, tomato, green apple and pumpkin in a tablespoon olive oil to coat, salt to taste and spices of your choice. boiled broccoli and saute mushrooms in garlic oil. voila! ๐Ÿ˜Š
