Evening light on hekla. hekla or hecla, is a stratovolcano in the south of iceland with a height of 1,491 m. it is one of iceland's most active volcanoes; over 20 eruptions have occurred in and around the volcano since 874. during the middle ages, europeans called the volcano the "gateway to hell". this was a "quick, stop the van moment" on the photo tour. within a minute the light had gone. • canon eos 5d mark iii

I wish i had spent more time at this water fall. it’s very large with a lot of paths in and around it. but it’s easy to get distracted, especially with the amount of tourists there. this was probably the second more populated attraction we saw. godafoss being the first and skogafoss being the third. all three are beautiful and still worth seeing with your own eye balls.
