I haven’t been able to train upper body since i injured my shoulder two weeks ago. which is a bit frustrating, but at least i’ve been able to train my legs with a few adjustments.

i can be a bit impatient sometimes with things like this, but this time i really want to make sure my shoulder is recovered before i start training again. luckily it’s already feeling a lot better, so i’m hoping it won’t be long before i can start training my upper body again 🤗

First ever time hitting heavy sumo deads! 365lbs for 3 reps‼️

yo for the first time hitting sumo dead’s heavy, this is pretty impressive only being on 1800 calories a day! honestly form isn’t the best but that’s something i can always work on. and i can say this with confidence that my back didn’t hurt a single bit during the entire workout (exception for the muscle)!!!

typically an atp is caused by tight hip flexors and erectors in the lower back. by stretching these and strengthening the lower abs and glutes, the stress caused by having an atp can be alleviated!!

when i first started weight training in high school, it took me half a year to even get 1 rep of 135 lbs!! 225 lbs was not even imaginable!! 🤯

fast forward 8 years, and i’m able to press 275 lbs for 3 clean reps 😊. could i have made faster progress? yes definitely, but over the years i focused more on hypertrophy rather than strength 🏋🏻‍♂️

although the two are not directed correlated, most of the time, as you get stronger, you will put on more muscle.

if you guys want to have a developed chest, focus on mastering the barbell bench press before doing all these crazy exercises you see on youtube or instagram. the basics are key 🔑

Did the usual tuesday workout today:
6 mile recovery run
deadlifts
kettle bell swing
shoulder press on exercise ball
shoulder fly on stability ball
step ups
lunges
ab roller
around the worlds
i feel like deadlifts are the most important exercise for motocross training because they mimic the same position you are in when you stand on the foot pegs. so if you strengthen this position you can last longer and maybe avoid some crashes along the way.

Today was 45 mins of #steadystate #cardio on the #treadmill , 1 #back #weighttraining #exercise i forgot yesterday , 6 sets of #pushups , 2 sets of #benchdips and stretching
this is my 2nd of 2 upper body days per week, the first being all weighttraining. the last 6 weeks i started lifting way more, doing 2 upperbody and 2 leg days per week whereas for years i did 1 of each + a s**t ton of #cardio no matter what. now i’m doing about 3-4 hrs of cardio a week still which is a lot less, but i wanna build #muscle now so i’m putting more effort into #lifting !

Another great workout in the books 📚 ✅ -
after a long early shift at work still had some energy for a nice shoulder/arm pump 💥 my focus is to really work the muscles and make sure to control the weight and hit every rep/set 👌🏽 this bulk is getting fun to see how much my strength has increased and although i haven’t maxed out yet i will soon 😉 💪🏽 -
as part of working shoulders i love working my arms! perfect pair in my opinion because the pump is just crazy 😜 -

Three month transformation 💚
i love this so much. one of my favorite things to do is take someone who is already working out & show them how to be more efficient!!
this over 40 mom of three was working out five days a week but not seeing the changes she wanted.
i had her add 3 days of solid weight training and took cardio down a little. i also cleaned up food plan with more protein and less sugar (hers was all hidden sugars 😳)
and twelve short weeks later..better body composition. smaller waist & hips, well rounded glutes & defined back & arms 💪🏻

แรกๆก็เมื่อยนะ แต่ก็ยังไม่รู้ ว่าสรุปต้องเล่นบ่อยแค่ไหน อีกวันถัดไปก็เลยมาอีกรอบ จัดไปเหมือนเดิม ซ้ำมัน!

the second video was taken june 2018 when i decided to take the gym seriously again (i was on and off for years). over a year later on the 3rd video and so so so much gainz all around 🙏🏼 (also thankful for a back that’s intact 🤦🏽‍♀️).
everything i do and know now has all been through self research and personal growth. by doing, then failing and doing it again x 10 .. which what really makes the journey. the best way to learn because nobody else is gonna do the work for you.

Transformation tuesday nearly 8 years strong. i’ve been working hard lately to get back to my healthiest and leanest. a whole foods-plant based diet and a steady workout routine has helped me feel better than i have in a long time. my diet and exercise routine have not been great the past couple years even but i’ve turned it around again and feel so good. getting into new activities like striking and a little bit of brazilian jujitsu with the awesome people at @sbgmissoula have helped make working out fun again. and of course having my favorite @ironhorseathletic gym right down the street helps a so much! .

i followed the loaf directions w/these modifications:

1 egg
1 ripe banana smashed
unsweetened apple sauce
4 scoops @vitalproteins collagen
oil for coating the load pan only
1/2 c @hukitchen gems ❤️
(if you’ve never had hu 🍫 - it is a must)

try adding some extra protein and the 🍌 and 🍎 sauce are a great oil substitutes.

⚡️fyi - i don’t call things “treats” or “bad” - it’s all just food - hence no guilt or restriction. 🤗

tip: varying food intake based on goals, activity level, and what else has been consumed that day is much easier. (consistency overtime is 🔑 - playing the long game.)

Legs and unconventional training tonight. pretty much fried by the end of it with my kb work. my finisher was 4x10 on 40 lb overhead ball slams every other minute. i really wish the ymcas had a 50 lb but i'm glad they atleast have a 40 lb like i do at home. lol like i tell my kids, you get whatcha get and you don't throw a fit. 😏😅

Literally took me forever today but i got through all my leg/booty day sets! i even lifted heavier! usually with stretching my workout only take 90mins but my body just refused to move quickly today 🤷🏼‍♀️

i was pushing myself a little harder the past few months so i could really enjoy vacation. now that i have nothing going on for awhile and i’m going to be super busy at work because of the holidays i am going to cut back a little.
