the intent of this post is not to say that any of these 2 options are better/worse than the other. i’m not trying to promote “diet-culture” or anything like that, actually i’m doing the opposite. this is just a topic that i personally struggled with & so i’m simply sharing my own experiences 😊👍

one of the big things that “i am not about” is the whole thing of saying “eat this” “not that” because this is “ #clean ” and this is “guilty” and this is “guilt free” and this is “dirty” or any of those undefinable words. basically placing restrictions on yourself based on made up beliefs. i don’t wanna raz anyone using those words because they can be used in the right context where it makes sense. however, when it comes to making progress (whether that is #gaining #weight , #losingweight , improving your performance etc.) what really matters is the net/net of your whole #diet , not if this #protein bar you’re about too #eat is made with #raw ingredients or not.

so what i’m trying to show with this visual, is that if you simply focus on #eating as “clean” or “healthy” as possible without paying attention to your overall #calorie /macronutrient intake you are
1. putting unnecessary restrictions on yourself (cuz guess what ? you can still eat #pizza & reach your #goal 🤯) and
2. you are just guessing that you are eating the right amount of #food (according to your goal) without actually knowing.

does that mean you should weigh out/ track everything you eat?.. no not necessarily, but levelling up your knowledge about calories will put you in a place where you can easier control your progress without putting restrictions on yourself. i get the whole intuitive eating trend and i’m all for it (i eat pretty intuitively myself) but there is a difference between counting calories tediously vs leveling up ur knowledge about cals/#macros and by doing so u’ll be in a better position to make choices that bring u towards your #goals .! long captions are back i guess🤣 hope this was helpful, love u if u read all this❤️! by @thobrandt

Una diarrea di post su instagram dedicati alle "tecniche" (per altro ridicole) sul come evitare la fame emotiva (c'è chi ha scritto "masticare chewingum" mi sanguinavano gli occhi.)
il cibo coccola.. e non c'è nulla di cui vergognarsi! sin da neonati il pianto viene calmato col biberon e/o col seno della mamma, cosa c'è di tanto scandaloso nel cercare talvolta conforto in un pacco di biscotti? nel cioccolato? in una pizza? chi più ne ha più ne metta. oggi i sensi di colpa sono creati ed alimentati da schemi sociali, da "comandamenti comportamentali" creati da chi? perché sentirsi in colpa per aver mangiato qualcosa considerata "fuori luogo" e perché, spesso, chiudere entrambi gli occhi dinanzi, ad esempio, un torto fatto a qualcuno?
ieri avrei tanto voluto avere una coccola a casa da sgranocchiare e no.. sebbene molti mi abbiano detto "beata te che non hai niente", io invece avrei voluto proprio averla! 😂 pazienza, mi attrezzero' meglio per la prossima volta che avrò bisogno di un po' di dolcezza, ma sicuramente fanculo a "tecniche per evitare la fame nervosa". se son triste io na bella coccola me la voglio mangiare e mi fa sentire anche meglio!

Can’t believe the weekend is nearly over again! ending it with a lovely chicken roast dinner! roasties are done in @tefal.uk actifry with some @frylighthq. the sausages are the chicken chipolatas from aldi - 1 syn each. i’m really finding now i having 3 good meals a day i don’t feel i need to snack like i was! i do however have orange moons every night! those that have followed me a while will know i love orange moons.

This was a feast honestly all those times i used to say veganism was b******t i take it back i was wrong ... i’m ready to be vegan .... veganism isn’t for everybody but for me especially for my health i need to be vegan ... especially for my immune system it’s really hard for me to digest meat ... since cutting down on my meat and dairy intake i eat a lot less than what i did before and even one main meal a day and fruits water nuts herbs and seeds the rest of the day #health #realism #life #slowlynomoremeat #iwannabevegansobad even started to lose a lot of weight which is very noticeable by my peers and that was without the gym ... and a mistake a lot of people make when they are losing weight is not toning/exercise because you’ll get a lot of loose skin so please remember to tone/exercise as you’re losing the weight.... i’ve made that mistake in the past it’s hard to get rid of excess f*t build up ... excess skin made me so depressed i ended up putting all the #weight back on that i had originally lost because i used to eat myself into #depression....also being hydrated and drinking plenty of #water is very #important you noticed changes in your skin in your hair in your body when you cut down on processed drinks processed foods you will notice the difference i didn’t used to be #convinced about this until i actually did it and i saw the #benefits it brought my #bodyandmind #healthiswealth

No cardio today, but banged out two quickie lifts. i hit arms and calves, took a 3-4 min break, and then hit shoulders and traps. i had a solid burn for both lifts and completed 7-8 sets for each one. just keep lifting! 🏋🏾‍♂️
