Upper body lift 💪 that left my shaky and sore already! couldn’t decide what i wanted to hit so i just threw together a full upper body workout which was so much fun! a lot of people ask me for upper/lower split lifts so this is that! swipe for videos and save it so you can try it too ☺️

1. lat pulldowns 4x12-15
2. seated alternating overhead press 4x20
↳ superset lateral raises 4x15
3. hammer strength incline press 4x12 (can sub dbs)
4. alternating curls 4x8-10 each
↳ superset dips 4x15
5. straight arm pulldown 5x12
6. tricep pushdown 4x15
↳ superset cable curls 4x15

i’ve mentioned this a few times before so if this looks familiar, it is but ladies: upper body training rocks and is so important. i aim to do upper body at least 3x a week to make sure i’m maintaining a balanced look and building some shape! i’ve never been happier with my physique than since i started making sure to focus on upper muscles. extra “bulk” isn’t a thing unless you take steroids or something l**o but having muscle arms/back/shoulders looks so good on women (in my opinion anyway) so don’t neglect :-) everyday really should not be leg day! anyway happy thursday fam i had to double check the day bc i’m honestly so thrown off by the holiday but it’s fine 😂 enjoy the rest of the day and lmk if you try this workout!

someone who exudes passion makes others envious because that fire is contagious.

watching someone do what they love with passion motivates me to continue doing what i love.

i’ve always noticed that i can be very passionate about things i set my mind to whether it be my training, my work, my relationships, or even my emotions.

recently my passion for everything regarding my health and fitness has been somewhat subdued.

it’s frustrating at times.

the lack of fire feels like something is missing and i have no idea what that thing might be.

also trying to better my environment and produce the atmosphere that i want to be a part of day in and day out.

don’t take this as me complaining. this is me being thankful for the circumstances that i’ve been given.

everyday i know that i’m growing physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

i’m grateful for the path that i’m on and the rollercoaster of situations i fall into.

be appreciative of all that you have and live to find your passions in life.

what a waste of time it would be to never truly find what it is you love and to not do it with the fire in your soul.

The tricep rope extension! 🔥

this tricep exercise is an amazing isolation movement to help build those triceps! 🙌💪

it is an incredible tricep finisher to help with that tricep pump, but only when used correctly. 💯

2 things that i ensure to do every time i perform this exercise... 👇

1️⃣ correct form!!

it’s very easy to let your ego be in charge when performing the tricep extension, trying to go as heavy as possible. 🤷‍♂️

however, when performed with improper form, the exercise is basically useless! 💯

make sure to squeeze those triceps, and extend at the bottom using your triceps, not your wrists! 👍

also during the movement, make sure to go to 90 degrees or just past on the way up, this ensures you aren’t using momentum! 💯🙏

2️⃣ using kino rep style training! 👇

i used to do this exercise reverse pyramid style which i’ve talked about before, however i found myself going too heavy and losing my form when doing it this way. 💯

kino rep training involves performing 3-4 sets of the exercise for 10 reps. increase the weight each set. 🙌

i almost took the day off because my plan for the day was thrown off. but then i told myself what kind of self discipline is that. what kind of trainer would i be, what kind of example am i setting to my clients? although no one would have know if i came or not, it’s all about the things you do when no one is watching that’ll get you to where you want to be.

Double arm tricep extensions to start triceps today! doing these seated will help take lower body momentum out of the equation so you put extra focus on the triceps.
*doing these with time under tension today, 4 second negative and short pauses on the stretch to put emphasis on form. i feel these better when i arch my upper back a little and have my elbows behind my head.

Starting the week the best way i know how, chest day. well a chest dominant push day, but close enough

everybody has good and bad days when it comes to training, today was a not so great one for me. slept weird and woke up with some back pain, and didn’t drink much water going in so was super dehydrated. ended up failing on my progressive chart that i hit last week, but we are still making the most out of the day, dropped down and finished the chart on the next weight down. the rest of the workout went a bit lighter than normal but focused on good form and getting full rep ranges. moral of the story is that even when you aren’t feeling it, the day doesn’t have to be a waste. at the end of the day we still have another push day this week to go heavy on ———————————————————#freeworkouts #lifting #fitness #bodybuilding #triceps #chestworkouts #healthyliving #armday #fitfam #pumpchasers #bulkingseason #gains #preworkout #everydayisarmday #pushday #gym #chestpump #armday #triceppump #internationalchestday

Love this bench set up, these uni lateral dumbbell kick backs felt awesome. .
with normal kick backs my back usually always burns out with some pain before my triceps do. being in a fixed position i find i'm able to focus more just on my triceps throughout the whole movement .
heres a unilateral variation, and with this music, it was a hella fun exercise for me 🤙🎶 try it out on your next arm day !

Never skip arm day💪 this is a hypertrophy oriented arm workout, but the first exercise of each muscle (bi's & tri's) is also meant to build some strength💥

Here’s a little tricep superset to get a pump, increase volume and train the triceps from a couple different stretch/contraction points.
-
the first is a skull crusher used to induce a full stretch on the tricep. -
this is the first of two exercises as it is trained heavier, so it makes sense to take advantage of this stimulus while we have the highest energy during the set.
-
the second exercise is a dumbbell triceps kickback. this is used to induce a full stretch on the tricep and get a lot of blood flow to the muscle. -
it is trained lighter which is why i perform is second.

Quick push day to start the week ———————————————————

Tricep cable press downs, these are great to do to help get more hypertrophy in since doing cable exercises will add tension throughout the entire movement compared to doing them with free weights.
