when we criticize ourselves we are tapping into our bodies threat and defence system, which activates our brain to release chemicals in response to perceived threat or danger - in this, we are undermining ourselves and our own motivations.

when we criticize ourselves, our bodies sense a threat and it prepares itself to attack the problem - in this case, we attack ourselves.

when we give ourselves compassion our brains release feel good hormones allowing us to do and be our best.

bench is still moving way better than it ever has. hit my top set of 5 paused reps at 225 at rpe 8.5 which is a first. but my left side is lower than my right. trying to figure out if it’s a muscle imbalance, mobility issue or if i just have one short arm 😂 -

#fromthearchives here is a squat jump with added resistance from bands 💥💥

bands are a great tool to use for developing explosive power because they require you to apply max force throughout the movement. what i mean by that is this 🔽🔽🔽
.
in a squat jump w/out bands, you apply the force as your feet push off the ground, and then you are allowed to get lazy and let that initial push carry you the rest of the way.
.
by attaching bands to the barbell, you are getting actively pulled back down to the ground, preventing you from getting lazy and requiring you to keep producing force throughout the movement.
.
you can also use bands with other squat and deadlift variations to accomplish the same thing.
.
if you have reached a plateau in any of these exercises, adding in band work may help you break through.

find a bench about knee height, shoulder blades resting on the bench. find a comfortable foot stance that engages those glutes. (trial and error) t****t the weight upward, keeping your core tight and glutes engaged the entire time. hold for a second at full flex then slowly return downward while still keeping those glutes activated. keep head in a neutral position the entire time. 🌟100kg squats 10reps under 1min challenge!!!🌟 🔥"the body has limitations, the mind does not. we focus so much on what goes down that we forget, it all starts up here"🔥 another challenge bites the dust!! worked my a*s off with "hey god it's me!😂" leg workout followed by shoulders, core and at last hiit cardio(280kcal burn🔥😈). i would urge all people who are inclined towards being fit, to do raw squats!! they leave you so charged and pumped up and it's a drug that very few herculean people can handle.
