@archi_start challenged architecture students to rethink hikers’ mountain huts… and the carpineto mountain refuge blows all expectations of what a rickety, wind-filled, sleep-on-the-floor style mid-hike shelter can be. it embodies a philosophy we hold dear: make sure design adapts with the times; and think about what people might need, rather than what they already get. thanks to this image, we’ve all gone off to look into hikes, huts, and alternative definitions of “cabin fever”.
