if your goal is checking your battery to check how you are feeling so you can label yourself as, anxious or not anxious, then that's what you'll get for your day. .
'am i anxious?'
'i might be'
'feel ok now but could feel anxious at anytime'
'now i'm focused on how i feel'
'i'm starting to worry'
'i feel anxious'
'i knew it'

if i focus on being anxious or not, i'll get anxious. 100% ny goal has become framed in a negative way. 'i don't want to be anxious'
.
this becomes an anxiety circle and you are living a life labelling yourself anxious of not anxious, you've boxed yourself in to this way of life. is that what you want for a goal? .

but that's not exactly how we function.

what really happens is👇

💡you believe that this is because, he thinks your not working well, assuming it will be about that because. 1. it's happened before. 2. you've assumed the worst.

therefore you have decided the outcome, & are apprehensive & upset about this. they upset you.

here's the space

stop, notice the belief,
where did it come from?
is it true?
just because it's happened before doesn't mean it will happen again.
you can't read minds
this could be good news
or constructive information.
this could be a learning curve that will help your growth.

now how would you feel?
anxious or exited?
worried or intreaged?
angry or interested?
.
use the⏸in all situations.
question, challenge, change the belief
therefore change the feeling from unhelpful to helpful & learning.

you do not have to decide in one mini second there is time before you react, use that space to help you.

Walked into the room to these two smiley faces...made my day. 😍😍 so, i have been taking some classes on childhood trauma, and today in a video something really stood out to me. they were talking about traumatized children and adults and how each of us have things from our past that trigger us to our fears—no one being exempt but especially people who have suffered severe trauma. they shared some examples of parents responding out of fear to their children, and children reacting to their own triggers. at the end of all the examples the question was asked, “what do you think makes the biggest difference to help these children cope?” my first thought was: obviously perfect parents that never ever react or get triggered and know how to handle and guide their kids through their fear. the teacher’s answer is what really stuck with me. the children who are the most successful in overcoming trauma and working through their fear aren’t the ones who have perfect parents...they are the ones who have parents who get triggered, make mistakes, say they are sorry, and make things right. . we don’t lead by example by being perfect—in that world our imperfect children have no room for making mistakes—we lead by showing them that mistakes are fixable, and that asking for forgiveness is empowering. we lead imperfect people the best by being ok with being imperfect ourselves...and having enough humility to admit when we mess up. so hats off to all of us imperfect parents...our kids have hope after all. 👊🏼😜 #kicktraumaintheface #yougotthis

svtip #7 les châtaignes sont des fruits particulièrement riches.
en effet elles sont une source de minéraux (fer, phosphore, cuivre...) et de vitamines b et c.

elles sont surtout riches en amidon "résistant", c'est-à-dire digéré lentement et incomplètement : elles remplissent l'estomac sans entraîner de pic de glycémie (indice glycémique 65, contre 85-90 pour la plupart des féculents). en période de famine, elles sont toujours venues en aide aux hommes et seront pour vous une valeur sûre en cas de disette.

🇲🇫 comment ai-je changé et suis devenue plus consciente de moi-même? j'ai essayé de nombreuses choses.

j'ai commencé la méditation, j'ai beaucoup échoué, dans ma pratique. mais je continue, ne serais-ce que 5 min par jour parce que l'expérience me montre que c'est utile pour moi.

j'ai essayé la pleine conscience et n'ai jamais réussi à le faire assez assidûment.

j'ai essayé l'auto hypnose, mais ça ne collait pas avec moi.

j'ai essayé l'auto coaching et le coaching et ça, ça a fonctionné : écrire, répondre à des questions, définir des objectifs et créer ma propre routine pour gérer mes pensées.

ce qui vous permet de grandir, c'est d'essayer de nouvelles choses sans arrêt, c'est de beaucoup échouer au passage, pour comprendre ce qui fonctionne ou pas.
affrontez vos peurs, et n'abandonnez pas sur votre chemin ! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 🇬🇧 how did i change myself and became more self-aware? i tried many things.

i started meditation, and failed a lot in my practice. but i keep doing it, even if it's 5 min a day, because i feel it is good for me.

i started mindfulness, and failed to do it daily.

i tried self-hypnosis but realized it was not for me.

i started self-coaching and coaching and that worked: journaling, answering questions and creating my own daily routine for managing my mind.

This is a perspective chart i received somewhere years ago that i use from day 1, regardless of age. i’m really big on mindset, real life situations & values in my class 🤔 specifically confidence, persistence and resilience. i believe putting things into perspective is imperative and sometimes kids take things out of context and don’t think about the grand scheme of things which affects their day and the overall dynamic of your class.

year by year as the kids and i referred to this chart when minor incidences occurred, i saw a huge improvement in problem solving, less arguments occurring, little to no dobbing and better resilience👍🏼

for example - “this person got me out in handball at lunch but he cheated, argue argue” (and problem brought back to class, debate between those involved for 5 minutes, don’t want to work in the same group, making faces at each other across the room, etc).

to instead a mature and thoughtful conversation with the student or myself ➡️ “oh well i’ll be in the square again soon” or “i know what he did to get me out and i’ll remember next time”💡

because really, howbadzatt? 🤷‍♂️

We generally don’t do health well as blokes. a lot of the time we ignore pain or discomfort because we think that it’ll just go away with time.

physical pain & mental pain will not just go away, in fact it can get much worse without the appropriate community or professional support to the point of suicide which should never be an option. once you put your hand up and admit something’s not right that’s when the “shit” can be sorted out.

My interpretation of financial freedom is the ability to make decisions that support the life you want to live today and in the future.

unfortunately, many of us have money habits that can undermine not only our own personal financial security but overall well-being.

a couple of years ago i wrote this blog about women and their financial goals. includes; the 5 things to regularly exercise now

it all starts with you finding value in yourself.

first and foremost, for anyone with any credit card debt or toxic debt, it is absolutely vital that you make paying it off a high priority. then, if your finances are in good order, it’s a smart idea to put some cash away into emergency savings. don’t feel too guilty about taking a tiny piece and treating yourself; either to something that furthers your education or is good for your soul.

purchase items that you need, not what you want. seriously, don’t let things that you own end up owning you.

a good mindset toward financial goals is to ‘pay your bills on time, and as soon as you pay it, file it away’. understand the costs of your life and draw up a personal visual budget cash flow, making sure you check back to see you’re on track. this will assist you with not overspending.

also, i'm not saying i'm perfect but living the life you love has more pros than beating yourself up!

🦖teaching children to connect with and work with their bodies is one of the most important tools you can give them for emotional wellbeing. :
🦖if we experience trauma we can disconnect from our bodies to avoid the pain. in extreme cases this even leads to addictive behaviours to self soothe. :
🦖build language around movement and body sensations to teach interoceptive awareness. interoception is awareness of the body state. :
🦖do you feel fizzy like a volcano? or maybe you feel bubbly? using descriptive language which connects your child to felt sensations. :
🦖if they feel fizzy then ask then m how they need to move to get rid of the fizz.

Petit point sur les objectifs que je me suis fixée. il y en a des petits, il y en a des bien plus gros mais tous sont atteignables. il faut simplement que je sois constante dans mes efforts et bien sûr patiente. .
🦊 un ventre plus plat, qui ne soit plus ballonné.

🦊 des abdos un peu dessinés

🦊 globalement être plus sèche. bien que la balance ne soit pas que mon amie, elle n est pas non plus mon ennemie. je la prends pour ce qu elle est, c est à dire un outil, qui peut me donner un type d indication. c est à moi d en faire quelque chose d utile, de rationnel et de non destructeur. elle a ses limites, il suffit d en avoir conscience. mais moi elle m aide, en tout cas pour le moment. et donc je souhaiterais retrouver mes 49kg tout en ayant en tête que mon corps plus musclé sera plus lourd, j en ai pris compte en décidant arbitrairement de ce poids. .
🦊 perdre 1 ou 2 tailles de soutif (oui je crois qu y a pas beaucoup de nanas avec cet objectif 😅) .
🦊 réussir une traction

🦊 récupérer un bon métabolisme, parce que mon burnout m a complètement flinguée, j'ai pris cher notamment sur la qualité de ma peau (+10ans dans les dents) et sur ma capacité à brûler correctement les calories (du au niveau de stress)

🦊 ne plus reporter ma frustration sur la nourriture et trouver mon équilibre alimentaire.

🦊 retrouver une partie de mon ancienne garde robe

🦊 continuer à améliorer mon sommeil

🦊 continuer à ne donner de l importance qu à ce qui le mérite.

🦊 me mettre à faire quotidiennement de la mobilité.

bon pour le moment c est tout et c est déjà bien 😁. mon premier palier s achève au 31 décembre. je ferai alors un point complet, pas sur cependant qu il y ait une photo.

➡️ face à une situation difficile, un moment désagréable, une frustration, on inspire un grand coup et on fait le choix conscient d’apprécier ce qui nous entoure et de voir cela comme une étape de notre évolution.

➡️ lorsque la vie me challenge, je reprends consciemment mon pouvoir de décision et je transforme ma manière de réagir. avec le temps, j’ai appris à transformer mes réactions émotionnelles pour rester calme, avec le sourire, passant quelques heures seule pour me recharger, et revenir pleine d’énergie et recentrée.

➡️ prenez le temps de vous retirer du monde lorsque le besoin se fait sentir, recharger vos batteries, évacuer le stress, vous reposer. ce temps avec vous-même est capital ❤️

We participated in an agri-food resilience roundtable yesterday, hosted by the @globalresiliencepartnership. the event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders presenting their views on how to transform the global food system in a way that is compatible with the 1,5 degree target. some key themes that emerged were: .
- linking farmers from different regions to each other, as well as to the private sector for access to finance and innovative technologies 🤖 .
- agro-ecology and plant-based diets as key 🔑 drivers of the transformation

- adopting a complex system-lens perspective of food chains. understanding how countries and regions are interconnected through trade routes. 🤝

in the military we strive to learn from lessons when things don’t go as planned. the key though is not to dwell on the circumstantial components outside of your control ⠀

after every enemy contact, i would run something called an after action review with the team. during these sessions we would look to understand what went well; what didn’t go so well; but most importantly, what lessons did we need to learn and take forward to ensure the mistakes weren’t replicated again⠀

i use this mantra today in a very different role from the military, but it still serves me well⠀

life is a series of lessons, but it’s up to us what we do with the output of those lessons⠀

I was reading something from an ‘influencer’ who says they never post ‘motivational quotes’ because they always p**s people off, it reminded me of people in glass houses who don’t like to look anywhere other than what makes them comfortable because getting uncomfortable means they need to think differently and that’s just not on their radar.
whilst i am totally on board with not being someone who has a perception of life that there is always something to be grateful for because somebody is always worse off than you ... of course you can find someone worse off than you if you like in the right places to find it ... but there is equally such an important part in our wellbeing that requires us to be where we are completely and to not deny how we really feel and to do this we have to be equally willing to swallow some hard pills of ‘reality’ .... we are of course enough just as we are ....when we say we are not when someone else suddenly waves a magic wand telling us we are .... life is showing us ‘stuff’ all the time ...what we choose to see and how we choose to respond or react totally dependant on the lens we see through at the time ...but when we keep our own gut,brain connection strong, we are alignment with a belief system that is ours to own and we take nothing others do or say personally and yet listen and hear everything we find life is working for us not to us and we do indeed have everything we need inside of us not to seek distraction and instead live life well naturally as only we can. it’s simple when we remember we are not everyone cup of tea because we choose not to be a mug and we are willing to stand for what we truly believe in. make sure you surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you not the stress and notice how when you change they allow to.
