note to self and anyone else before meet day ✅✅✅
1️⃣ eat food the day before
2️⃣ don’t stay up late
3️⃣ for gawed sakes eat breakfast
4️⃣ do hot cold therapy for days on end prior
5️⃣ get the nerves out
6️⃣ don’t drink tons of water during warmup so you have to p*e every 2 seconds
7️⃣ always always always always always listen to @thesteelmachine because he knows best and he knows all ❤️

When i tell ppl how skinny and sickly looking 😷 i was, they seem to be in disbelief😳 because they only see what i am now and now what i’ve been through.
well unfortunately this is true and that was me on the left at around 125-130lbs 😪.
i suffered from depression and anxiety which pushed me to just not eat. some days i ate nothing at all.
thankfully i was able to overcome those demons and i started working-out slowly feeling better about myself 🙏
i wasn't born with a “great physique” or “good genetics” like most ppl think. i actually think i have less than average genetics tbh. i just worked my b**t off to overcome what i deemed to be my weak points and flaws which i’m still working on to improve them further. it’s a never ending learning curve. what you see now is a product of a boy who was just tired😤 of looking sick and skinny and simply made a decision to do something about it to be healthy both mentally and physically.
it all starts with a decision to want to change to be a better version of yourself. i do encourage those who are going through the same issues i had to seek professional help because it can be very difficult to deal with it on your own.
it's a #grind and it won't happen overnight so have patience please! and #trusttheprocess and you will come out on the other side a much better and healthier person 🙏

Protect your shoulder joints and muscles through regular massage. in between massages, focus on form & mobility, stretch, foam roll, and take a hot bath.

work on shoulder mobility by doing the following traditional doorway stretch:
stand in a doorway.
with one arm along the doorway, focus on pulling your scapula back.
turn your chest away from the shoulder you’re stretching.
this stretch should be felt along your chest muscles.
hold. and the repeat on the other side.

Back to the gym this morning 😁. and possibly one of the last selfies i’ll be posting with my standard mouth closed smile. due to a combination of bad genetics, bad self care and a little bit of rampant drug abuse a while back, my teeth are fuuuuuucked. i think you could go back through my entire instagram and not find a photo with my mouth open. it’s the one major thing that i’m cripplingly self consciousness of, but within the next few weeks they’re gonna be gone 🎉. im off to the dentist in a few hours for my second last appointment before the big one. i’m going to have a straight white nice smile for the first time in my entire life and i can’t even actually express how that makes me feel. im probably gonna cry. a lot.

It might be 380 but what i see is that i'm 220 away from where i want to be. lots of improvement over the last couple of months on this. remaking myself one step at a time and still improving.
