I’m not chasing ‘perfection’, or a number or a ranking. 🤷🏼‍♀️

some of the most common questions i get asked is “why do you workout so much”, or “what is your end goal” or “so what are you training for..?”

and the answer to those, what i’m “after” or what i’m chasing is i guess..i’m chasing that feeling you get after lifting a weight you couldn’t lift the week before. that feeling you get when comparing progress pics and seeing the observable muscle growth. i’m chasing the feeling of strength and it has become my passion and what i absolutely love! ❤️

it took me a long time to feel confident in the body i’ve built.. i used to feel too big or too bulky because that’s what everyone says lifting does to you. 🙄 but the more i learned, and trained and did it for me and no one else. the more i fell in love with the process of getting stronger and the more i appreciated the muscles i had built. 😊

so that is my biggest piece of advice. you hear so much nowadays about what you should do, what you shouldn’t do, how you should train, how you should look, what to avoid when training, blah blah, etc, etc. but it ultimately comes down to finding what you love to do. 👊🏼 chase the feeling of progress rather than the picture of ‘perfection’. 👏🏼

i get asked quite frequently about what workout split to follow and which one is the most effective. i mean, a full body split, is scientifically an effective and efficient split given how protein synthesis lasts about 48 hours post-workout so by working out the same muscle groups again 48 hours later, which you do in a full body split, you're maximizing this process. other amazing splits include push/pull, push/pull/legs, and upper/lower splits. these splits allow you to gain a sufficient enough weekly volume without destroying your muscles in one single workout like you do in say a bro split. bro splits aren't typically great from a scientific perspective for this reason along with the fact you train a muscle group once every 7 days which, to our point about protein synthesis above, is inefficient. now science aside, the best split is the one you're going to stick to, the one that fits your schedule, and the one that you're going to enjoy the most. don't be afraid of trying new splits every few months and see what your personal body reacts to best. what split do you follow? let me know in the comments below.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Who here takes a bunch of photos just to post the perfect one? isn’t it crazy how we overanalyze ourselves like that?

i am 110% guilty of this and i know i’m not alone when i say i compare a lot of photos to see which one hits everything “just right.”

take these 2 photos for example. they look the same right? at first glance, yeah. but nope. i had to nit-pick them. the first one i liked because my waist looked smaller. the second one i liked because i felt my arm looked better. both things don’t really matter because i already know what i look like and can bring to the table, so why on earth did i go back and forth between these photos for a week?
.
i try to think back to when i was younger. i couldn’t care less about that. at what point did i give a s**t about little things like that? is that something that just develops as you age when you look in the mirror? did someone you know say something negative about you or a photo you took? or is it something that society heavily influenced us through different forms of media?
.
we waste so much time trying to look perfect, or make sure our posture is a certain way to accentuate our good angles, or post what we think is the perfect photo at that time, that we tend to miss out on other things we can enjoy. d-e-p-r-e-s-s-i-n-g. the perfect photo is one where you are happy, with who you are, where you’re at, and what you’re doing.

i know we are already almost 2 months in and i definitely need to work on this, but let’s make 2020 the year where we realize we don’t have to be perfect, at all, or ever, and that we are already beautiful in our own individual ways 💖🦋 #rantover .

just because you don’t go to a gym doesn’t mean you can’t have an effective workout at home. you can do a lot with just a set of dumbbells and your own body weight. while this isn't how i train, if you have no access to a gym then this will be a lot better than nothing and it's not a bad starting point. this is a full body workout that could be done every other day for a total of 3-4 days per week. this is just one example. there are plenty of exercises you could do in addition to these as well. swipe left for a good post from @harsh_pal_workout_college showing some additional exercises you can use to create your own at home workout.

just because you don’t go to a gym doesn’t mean you can’t have an effective workout at home. you can do a lot with just a set of dumbbells and your own body weight. while this isn't how i train, if you have no access to a gym then this will be a lot better than nothing and it's not a bad starting point. this is a full body workout that could be done every other day for a total of 3-4 days per week. this is just one example. there are plenty of exercises you could do in addition to these as well. swipe left for a good post from @harsh_pal_workout_college showing some additional exercises you can use to create your own at home workout.

Here in this exercise (seated preacher curl machine), i was focusing on eccentric overloading and extremely slow negative repetitions. being a natural lifter, i have to find strategic and methodical ways of breaking down and exhausting my muscles so that i can then in turn, recover and rebuild through nutrition and rest. in short words, what you wanna do here in this exercise, is go as heavy as you possibly can (100% of your 1rm), and perform isometric holds until your biceps begin to fatigue and give out. once you feel your biceps giving out, that’s when you fight gravity and lift against the negative part of the rep. lift it (literally) with every ounce of strength you have. it’s definitely a different way of lifting but very beneficial. stay safe my people. take care. #biceps #bicepworkout #bicepsworkout #armday #armworkout #fitness #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #fitnesslife #gymrat #brainstogains #gymlife #strengthtraining #hypertrophy #hypertrophytraining #musclebuilding #eccentrictraining #eccentric

Transformation.

a while ago, i'm looking like a lean and skinny boy. i'm happy what i have those days. and so many people told that eat a lot you will get body improvement. i'm always eating well. afterwards, i ate a lot more before. but no results came for it. that i'm thinking about joining the gym for body mass gaining. so help of my cousin i joined the gym.
i started working out day by day. within a month, i got some gain in muscle. i posted a picture on instagram. so many are shocked and at the same time, they asked its photoshop or which app do to edit like this. i'm not worried about those comments. then i'm a workout to the core a lot. within three months again i posted my gains in instagram. the same people believe that asking for how you work out and how to do gain muscle. i'm happy about that. afterwards, some days, few asking about the steroids and powders and all. i don't want those shortcuts. i take natural proteins from the natural food routine. i attended some bodybuilder competitions. i failed my events. but i do not feel for it. i learned from it. then, i participate in city and state-level events. i got the top three position.
still in my mind,
don't give up.
