“with time passing it sometimes feels like it has helped us heal, but all it has really done is give us space to learn how to live with the wound. just because we stopped thinking about it, doesn't mean it is fully healed. the passing of time allows what was conscious to sink deeper into the mind where it becomes a quiet yet powerful lever that forces us to behave a certain way. under our thoughts remain the impact of a harmful yesterday.

healing is possible, it just requires us to move inward with patience, honesty and courage. if we do not address our accumulated patterns in our subconscious they will simply remain there, always affecting how we think, speak and act. our accumulated wounds and conditioning will push us into blind reactions that make us repeat the past, restricting our flexibility of choice. healing is a combination of the process of letting go and building new habits. new habits require determination and letting go is best done through an effective practice.

3 bilder på 3 måneder.. poenget her er ikke at jeg har mistet noen cm.
poenget er at dette har skjedd siden jeg har stresset mindre. stress påvirker kroppen sykt negativt og det er er jeg et godt eksempel på. før jeg flyttet så var det mye stress i livet mitt. og jeg var konstant dårlig i mage og slapp i kroppen.
de siste 3 mnd har jeg spist det samme som før, jeg har trent like mye, eller kanskje litt mindre også, jeg har jobbet litt mer enn før og jeg har sovet like mye.

nå er jeg mindre oppblåst, jeg har gått ned 5 kg og gått inn noen cm. ikke med vilje i grunn, men det er godt å kjenne at kroppen er lettere å bevege og at kroppen er mer avslappet. bonusen er jo at musklene jeg en gang hadde er på tur tilbake. 😃💪 så mitt torsdagsråd er å senke skuldrene og stresse mindre. 🧡

Messed up routine... pretty tough to fight the crave for binge. my gun is my passion for cooking. back from work at 1am, feeling hungry like a wolf, i would rather treat myself to something enjoyable and guilt free than a fast take away. voila! fish and prawn fritters (added sun dried tomatoes and shiitake mushrooms), noodles and salad. 20mins cooking and it was a miracle! yes, it is a mirracle for me now, as a year ago i couldn't have resisted.

Officially certified nlp practitioner/coach - certified timeline practitioner ® - certified hypnosis practitioner (what’s that all about?) unfortunately there is a lot of pain in many of our lives. past experiences. fears, sadness, depression, anxiety. i watch people close to me, people i meet, battle within themselves daily. they battle through the weekly grind. complete the tasks and pressures of life and continue to stay in ‘the fight’ yet don’t quite understand why they feel the way they do at certain times. the inner battle being torn one way or another. not quite understanding their emotions or how to make sense of it all.

the last 18 months i’ve dug deeper and deeper into the human psyche. learnt from some of the best in the world. initially it was to learn more about myself, once i broke free from my chains and shackles that were once holding me down internally, i wanted to help others. i’ve continued to gain knowledge and learnings to pass on to others. so they can also understand themselves better and live a life on their terms.
the last 7 days in sydney was doing just that learning and educating myself even further. guiding others to break through their internal struggles and gain more skill sets along the way. i’m extremely proud of this achievement and so excited about life.

Another shocking example of how mental health issues are plaguing our frontline emergency services as another fantastic nurses loser her life due to mental health issues. "a dedicated nhs nurse who had 'nightmares about work' committed suicide after the stress of working 12 hour shifts left her unable to lead a life of her own at home, an inquest heard.

leona goddard, 35, had dreams of settling down and having a family but struggled to have a social life after being burdened with unpredictable work hours and extra responsibilities at prestwich hospital in manchester.

although her work colleagues rated her as ''outstanding'' miss goddard, a nursing manager who worked in a mental health unit, had developed low self esteem due to the long hours.

🍂 i’ve tried to be mindful while scrolling the rough different social media platforms and recently almost completely stopped using facebook (never thinking this would be one day possible!) 😶 i spent most of my social media time on instagram now, bookstagramming, and at times have felt...stressed out. i couldn’t put my finger on why exactly, just that i would suddenly feel anxious if i didn’t complete certain tasks, return comments and questions, post in my stories...and then i realized it was my bookstagram that was giving me grief 😰 the biggest source for me is knowing that i’m about to run out of photos and need to do another photo shoot 😣 living with two little ones makes this tricky as they seek to take apart my set ups constantly 📷 now i’ve put aside a slot every weekend for my bookstagram photos (weather permitting) and try to limit my time to three blocks a day ☀️ do you have similar experiences? i’d love to hear your thoughts ⭐️ .

I have felt quite blue lately. this greyness and living without sunlight effects me so hard. winter depression and also my good old friend anxiety came to visit last weekend so yeah, tough times for me. still try to keep my mind alive by thinking that this is just temporary and not be so h*****n myself when i just want to do nothing but lay down and sleep.

many times i write about how attitude can help your mind to do miracles. still somehow what comes to mental health, attitude does nothing. it doesn't matter how hard you try to keep positive mind or pushing yourself to do everything what you usually do at the days if something inside your body just keeps holding you down. that something is dark and powerful trouble inside you and all you can do is keep dancing with the devil. many often ask how it feels when that kicks in but it's hard to describe. i would never wish this to anybody but sometimes going thru the same is the only way to know.

and why i'm telling you this? i wan to help others. i want that someone get courage to find help. i want people to know about this. and end of all, i want that no one don't think that we are weak even if we somedays feel that way.

being out of balance emotionally usually involves either not allowing yourself to experience your feelings as they evolve by avoiding or suppressing them, or being so attached to and identified with them that your feelings are all-consuming. emotional balance occurs when we allow ourselves to feel whatever comes up, without stifling or being overwhelmed by it, and learn to accept our feelings without judgment.

there are several levels of awareness involved in cultivating emotional balance:
1) become consciously aware that you are experiencing an emotion.
2) identify the particular emotion.
3) put the emotion into words.

Some would think that being a coach means you should always be positive with your students/clients/staff, and not share the bad times because people rely on a coaches positivity. ⠀

well i disagree because just yesterday i opened up to my clients about some pretty personal stuff and i got nothing but praise and positivity back. ⠀

and because i showed strength in sharing my weakness it will still empower my clients and help them combat their own personal problems. ⠀

so if you’re a coach, not sharing your whole story i would recommend you do so because from the outside you might seem like you’ve got it all together, but here’s the thing! it actually really annoys people. ⠀

“fuck sake, they’ve got the house, the car, the physique, the wife etc and they seem so happy! why don’t i feel like them?!” ⠀

i’m telling you now. nobody’s ever completely happy and everyone’s got their own s**t to deal with. ⠀

by sharing your weakness and struggles you will build better relationships with clients/staff or even with your friends/loved ones. ⠀

We had another lovely morning at parent box yesterday ☺️ one of the things we spoke about was how tired we are...a topic that is very common between mums!

disturbed sleep, having little energy and feeling tired are all part of being a parent. parents troop through the sleepless nights and the early starts, sometimes without realising the lack of sleep is impacting our mental health.

we discussed how lack of sleep can affect us: 😴 reduced motivation
😴 less energy
😴 snappy / irritable
😴 low mood
😴 more anxious and worried
😴 easily stressed
😴 find it more difficult when things don’t go to plan
😴 less enjoyment in playing with baby
😴 reduced activity

here’s a few quick tips for conquering tiredness and keeping low mood at bay:
👍🏼 sleep when baby sleeps
👍🏼 ask for help throughout the day so you can take a break
👍🏼 ask your partner to help with night feeds
👍🏼 light exercise, such as walking
👍🏼 meet up with friends
👍🏼 eat well and keep hydrated

of course some of these may not be possible, or not work for you. parent box or receiving support from a health professional could help you talk through what could help you.

one of the things i love about parent box is it’s always reassuring for parents to hear that they’re not alone in some of the thoughts and feelings they have as a parent.

maybe parent box could help you by giving you the space to talk about how you’re feeling, as well as providing support and reassurance about the things you’re finding difficult.

Today i’m going to talk about the @sharkcleanuk shark duoclean powered lift-away xl upright vacuum cleaner ax950uk.

as a mum and someone who suffers with severe ocd and anxiety, this shark vacuum was an absolute life saver. it’s insanely expensive (usually £379.99) but absolutely worth it to save your sanity if you’re like me!

here you can see me moving the shark round a tight corner in our living room with ease. at first it is quite difficult to get the hang of it, but once you understand how to move with the flow of the vacuum, it’s actually a pleasure to do! initially i thought the light feature was a bit of a gimmick, because who would be vacuuming in the dark? however, in those dark and hard to reach corners, it’s actually a pretty nifty tool.

❤️ lifts off to use on stairs
❤️ simple switch between floors
❤️ picks up pet hair
❤️ very quiet

I am really pleased to see social media platforms taking steps to improve the mental health and well-being of users.

with public "like” counts being removed and initiatives designed to curb online bullying and harassment being implemented, i am optimistic that social media in 2020 and beyond will deliver a healthier experience. ”likes” have long been an indicator of social standing so i am looking forward to a time when our children’s self-worth isn’t tied to the number of people who like their photos.

Christmas is almost here. for most people, this is a time of celebration, of eating too much, of food comas, of friends and family. but for the hospitality industry, christmas and the summer holidays is usually our busiest time of year – and it can be quite stressful and tiring.⠀

over the next few weeks, before the mayhem begins, why not do something nice for yourself. help your mind and body get ready. some time off the b***e or drugs? going to bed a little earlier? why not reach out to that colleague, you know the one—the one you have been promising all year to do something with, 'we should go to the gym', 'we should get a coffee', 'we should go for a walk one day'. well, why not now?⠀

more than anything though, as it gets busier, remember to be kind. don’t be afraid to ask if everything is ok? owners, managers, waiters, chefs, room attendants, reception staff, bar staff, all of us - we're all in this together, so look after each other. ⠀

so next time you slide past someone, say behind, but think be kind. #saybehindthinkbekind

2009 new years on the left. last week on the right. nearly 10 years now. i was 21 and now 31 and look and feel better than ever.
on the left i was just exiting a horrible unhealthy relationship which took me from 145 lb to 260 lbs in 2.5 years stress eating and a feeder boyfriend. i was miserable but finally i had hope and was on my way out and up. i have since moved several times, married, had a child, work in a high stress job and i still feel and look better than i did at 21 years old. a bad relationship and partner ages you, destroys you. a good man or woman can lift you up and make you want to be better. 10 years ago where were you? let me see your before and after and tag me so i don't miss it!

Pushing others away - warning this post starts off sad but it gets better. read to the end .
this week i have found incredibly hard. i can’t put my finger on a reason why. maybe i’m frustrated that there is so much i can’t do. maybe i’m angry that it now takes me longer to swim 10m than it used to take me to swim 50m. maybe i’m sad that i am putting my friends and family through all this. maybe i’m grieving for who i used to be. i suspect it’s a mix of all these things

the situation is undoubtedly made worse by the physical exhaustion, but the biggest source of exhaustion is the mental torture i find i put myself through on a daily basis. i still feel a burden and a shell of who i used to be. i convince myself that people are only there out of duty and one day i will end up on my own. it makes me want to push people away to save myself the heartache later on. in reality i am doing a massive injustice to the huge number of amazing people i have in my life. of course they won’t leave but it still scares me anyway .
now for the positives. i am able to reach out and talk about my feelings and truly that helps. if you are struggling find someone you trust. don’t be scared or embarrassed. people who care about you do want to help and they won’t leave. and it will help you being able to voice your struggles and your difficulties. so do not push these people away. they want to help you and if they don’t then they will leave on their own. they don’t need you to make that decision .
secondly remember hard times don’t last forever. weather the storm. i promise and i know that things will get better. there will be ups and downs along the way but no matter how dark it is and not matter how much it hurts you will be happy again. i have no doubts of this for me. so no matter how down i feel no matter how dark things are i get up and i give every day my all. please endeavour to do the same. acknowledge your feelings, talk about them and then kick them up the arse and beat them
