so reading this book called “the worlds fittest book” by @rossedgley and it has changed the way i’ve started exercising. ⁣

so the guidance of training for hypertrophy is :⁣
🔸load % of 1 rep max : 60-80⁣
🔹reps/sets : 6-15⁣
🔸sets : 4-8⁣
🔹rest between sets : 2-5 min⁣
🔸duration per set : 20-60 sec⁣
🔹speed per rep : 60-90 sec⁣
🔸training sessions/wk : 5-7⁣

now i haven’t finished the book and i’m definitely not a book worm, but i’m enjoying reading this one 🤓 in fact i got through my whole degree of pharmacy without ever reading a book (apart from the bnf) 🤷🏽‍♂️ ⁣

I tried giving up chocolate for lent and an hour later id eaten a chocolate rice cake and 3 hours later i had a nutella pancake, completely unaware... god loves a trier. so i've taken a new approach (albeit totally stolen from @thatcardiffgirl, who is forever inspiring) and have decided to focus on me for lent, mainly in the fitness department. i'm going to get back to 6 workouts a week and hopefully get to the fittest version of myself. im going to continue with the odd bit of choccie and a cocktail (or 5) on weekends because restricting these things personally males me unhappy and breeds binge culture. so here we are, lent day 1, @ellisfrangos_pt i promise to quit moaning... 🏋🏽‍♀️💪🏽🤸🏽‍♀️

i was skinny i worked on my nutrition to add muscle mass ( caloric surplus ) .

after an accident i got very f*t and i wanted to lose weight i did calorie deficit to do it .

and now whenever i want to maintain weight i balance the calories .

so it is not about the body type , it is all about how well you play with calories .

👉so, guyz here i have mentioned few most important points to achieve a well defined abs not only but whole mid-section
☺️ 1. be in caloric deficit or at maintenance level which means you have to consume near about 200-500 ( calories deficit) or at maintenance calories required to your body
☺️ 2. train your mid - section twice a week not less or more than it.
☺️ 3. perform 1-2 exercise for the lower abs,
1-2 exercises for the upper abs, 1-2 exercises for the obliques muscles . it would be enough.
☺️ 4. exercises for the strong & well defined mid-section & abs are : i) hanging leg raises ( lower abs) ii) crunches( upper abs) iii) regular plank (complete mid- section) iv) left side plank ( left oblique muscles) v) right side plank( right obliqu mulscles)
☺️ 5. how these exercises are to perform
👍perform 3-5 sets of each exercise 👍rep-range should be 12-20
👍hold plank for atleast 30 seconds and maximum 2 minutes

Add // don’t subtract ⁣

for any nutrition strategy to be successful, i believe it’s important to take an additive approach, particularly if your strategy involves an energy deficit. ⁣

when i say “additive approach”, i’m talking about volume eating.⁣

let’s aim to get the most b**g for our buck with our calorie targets - consuming the greatest amount of food possible so that we feel full & satiated all day long, lessening some of the negative effects, particularly the psychological ones, that can come with energy deficits 😓⁣

volume eating simply means eating greater quantities of foods that are of lower caloric density. and i’m not talking about low-cal substitutes of high-cal foods — i’m talking the entire d**n rainbow of fruit & veg 🌈⁣

by loading up our meals & snacks with fruit & veg that are high in fibre & water content, we can consume a maximum amount of food with a fairly low caloric value. not to mention the other benefits - increased micronutrient intake, greater variety of nutrient intake, plus all the benefits that each of those micronutrients provide ✨⁣

this is also an excellent strategy for managing appetite whilst dieting, particularly when calorie targets are at the lower end of the scale 🥗⁣

my chest workout seems have not much progress, i regularly struggling on 185 lbs @my last 2 sets of bench....today i tried the 205lbs ....,only 2 single reps ! anyways, 🤔i think it is a good try😃

haven’t try this challenge since september, today i feel like to challenge myself, break my old record (35 reps)taken on 21/9!
