I’ve probably walked a total of 2,000 steps in the last 2 days from all the studyin🥴 but hey...ya girl graduates in approximately 10 dayyss🤩🎉

let’s talk about the “i’ll start when xyz” mindset. how often do you find your self saying “eh, i’ll start my diet monday”. or “i’ll start that paper tomorrow”...and then pushing it off even further😬 .
.
this can be such a toxic mindset, particularly when it’s in the context of training or nutrition🍎 i can promise you, binging on sunday, before you start your insanely restrictive diet on monday, is not the way to reach your goals🙅🏼‍♀️ .
.
try this approach instead:

1️⃣ starting a program or new routine not when you think you’re “ready” but when you know you should. because believe me, you will never feel ready☝🏼
2️⃣create sustainable and attainable goals
3️⃣ stick to a plan
switching your diet and workout program can really hinder your progress. so get on a plan, and stick to it!

in order meet certain goals, it's not about how much time you spend there at the gym. it's about how it's spent in the gym. a person that is trying to grow and gain muscle while remaining lean is much more different than a marathon runner per say.

if you are wanting to build muscle and lose f*t then intense workouts is key in obtaining your goal. my page is geared towards those goals btw as i'm not going to be running any marathons soon, or ... ever, haha!

lifting heavy (which is relative per person btw), combined with intensity and then intense cardio but short duration puts you in a great spot to build muscle, burn f*t and obtain a great physique.

here are 3 tips to help you get out of your comfort zone!

1. study your physical manifestations of fear -
when was the last time you felt uncomfortable? what did it feel like? where did you feel it in your body? was it in your chest? your stomach? by getting clear on how discomfort manifests in your body, it makes it easier to notice when you are out of your comfort zone. it allows you put yourself in situations that make you a bit uncomfortable and open you up to growth.

2. tell yourself, ‘i am fearless’ -
disempowering thought habits keep us in our comfort zones. replacing those thoughts with empowering ones help us take a new perspective and move to action. repeating the mantra, “i am fearless” over and over again and envisioning yourself successfully doing or achieving what you fear can help you reprogram your disempowering thought habit and move forward. -
3. recognize your reactive thoughts and tack a new, positive thought onto them -
piggyback a new thought pattern onto a knee-jerk response. for example, if you’re typically offended by negative feedback at work, associate that feedback as constructive advice from someone who helps you improve. when you feel your initial response is to reject, deny or balk at feedback, stop for a moment and imagine that person is handing you a gift for you to achieve your fullest potential.

“optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. nothing can be done without hope and confidence” amen 🙏🏻 because a month ago i would of never had the balls to hip thrusts 100kg! and def not doing 4/5 reps 3 sets 😎😎 slide 👉🏻 for the exercises and the breakdown of the workout i did today! i couldn’t record all the exercises because most times i train by myself and the gym was busy this morning 😊 the second video was a new exercise variation i did today 🤓 it looks weird but trust it kills 😣 whatever your limit or pb is, always aim to push past it... pb’s are there to beat and to motivate you to continuously better yourself 😇have confidence in you!

parte 1 - glutei - lettura 90 secondi⏳

un gruppo muscolare cresce bene se si tiene in considerazione:
•funzionalità dell' articolazione-target🎯
•buona riuscita dei pattern motori ad esso connessi.🎯
•grado di espressione della forza generata dal muscolo stesso.🎯 come vedi, non ho menzionato il volume allenante, perchè in questo caso la qualità (del movimento) batte la quantità.

una persona con glutei carenti ha quasi sempre una scarsa funzionalità dell' anca(spesso compensata da caviglie molto mobili che "rubano" lavoro in gesti di accosciata come squat), scarse abilità motorie (hip hinge "sconosciuto") , e poca forza nel grande gluteo.
tutto questo emerge con dei semplici test che effettuo su ogni cliente che mi si approccia.

quindi...
cosa fare?
esercizi di mobilità dell'anca sia statici che dinamici ed esercizi coordinativi di hip-hinge e accosciata saranno la base del cambiamento, dopodiché quando sarà riequilibrato il ritmo articolare anca/caviglia si potrà passare alla costruzione di forza. una volta costruite le basi di funzionalità, abilità e forza già di conseguenza i glutei saranno ormai "risorti"; ma per andare oltre va poi programmata una fase di allenamento ad aumento progressivo del volume.

se ti interesserai più alla quantità che alla qualità, nel migliore dei casi perderai tempo, nel peggiore, ci saranno fastidi alla schiena.

🔥isometric contraction training🔥
an isometric contraction is basically when the muscle is under tension but there is no moment in the joint or range of motion. a few examples of isometric training would be planks, holding your arms out to the side, wall sit, a dead hang or even holding the legs straight at the top of the leg extension machine.
holding the muscle under constant tension like this is definitely a good way to mix things up and really challenge the muscle. it can also be good for muscle endurance to see how long it can hold in one spot for. if you’re looking for something fresh maybe try adding some isometric work into your routine 🔥

Yallllllll! i was finally able to complete all 4 rounds of my workout! 🦸🏾‍♀️ it only took three days/tries, but ya girl did it!
-
i had planned on waking up at 3 a.m. to ensure that i was able to complete all 4 rounds, but things didnt go as planned and i ended up sleeping through my alarm 🤦🏾‍♀️ so when my alarm went off to wake up the older 2, and baby was still asleep, i knew that it was now or never! so i got dressed, chugged my protein, through on some gangsta music, and got to work!

of course baby woke up about 7 minutes into my workout, so i paused everything and tended to her needs (note breastmilk spot on my right thigh). once she was settled, i picked right back up where i left off and tried to avoid making eye contact with the baby (if you're a parent then ya know what i mean 🤣)

1 hour and 8 minutes later and i was done! legs were like jello and i had sweat dripping into my eyes...success!💪🏾

i did have to pause a few more times, but i was determined to finish all 4 rounds today, as it's the final time of the week for this routine.

no excuses, just adjustments! -

i read a post from @bretcontreras1 the other day talking about the impact your genetics has on glute development (60% genetics, 20% nutrition, 20% training), highly recommend taking a minute to read his post because it is soso true. genetics seriously play a huge role in your development and i don’t think enough people understand this. if you’re training hard, eating in a caloric surplus with a sufficient amount of protein however still struggling to build your ideal 🍑 booty, your genetics may have something to do with it. i’ve seen girls who barely workout/don’t eat enough protein however still have really nice glutes due to their genetics. although my genetic starting point was thin with no booty, my genetics definitely have a huge impact on my glute/muscle growth. please don’t compare your progress to anyone else because we are all so different. all booties are beautiful no matter what shape/size. focus on becoming stronger and loving your body for what it can do for you💗💗 #allbootiesmatter

Think this is tiddlywinks? this is is one of the toughest bird dog/fire hydrant variations you’ll ever do. the medial glutes light up like no tomorrow. be honest with your range of motion and speed.

Today here is one of the best exercise for your posterior chain.
the "one leg hip bridge", it's better to do it with one leg if you have a imbalance between right and left (lot of people have this issue)
do 4/5 sets of 8/12 reps with control.
if you want to work your strenght its better to do it with both legs and obviously heavier.

Onze glutesquad member @ilse_lyann maakt de laatste periodes serieuze progressie💪🍑 we hebben haar volledig door de molen gehaald waarbij we o.a. gewerkt hebben aan nieuwe trainingstechnieken, voedingsoptimalisatie en slaapkwaliteit.

ook hebben we ervoor gekozen om minder dagen te gaan trainen dan ze gewend was. dit zorgt voor meer rust en een betere balans tussen gym/werk/privé.

we zijn benieuwd waar ze volgend jaar staat, want ze heeft nog lang niet haar potentieel bereikt!🙏
