If someone tells you “you’ve changed” say thank you, i’m growing 💁🏼‍♀️. it blows my mind how people get so offended by others changing... i understand if they turn into a complete a hole, that sucks... but for the people that bring down those that are trying to lift up who they are and who they want to become - b**w my d**n mind.

but here is why - it’s hard for those that sit stubborn in their old ways to watch others grow... it makes them feel less, but thats not on you.

Why the scales aren't the best indicator of what's really happening.
-
when people attempt to change their physique, body weight is often used as in indicator of fitness progress. when people dont see a decrease on the scales within the first week or two they often assume that no f*t has been lost.
-
🆙️ the scales can be deceiving. when training and nutrition is on point you should expect to see your weight remain the same or increase in the first couple weeks followed by a decrease on the scales, the amount does depend on the persons body composition and overal fitness at the start of the programme.
-
📊 but, a change in body composition is not determined by overall weight. muscle, fat, bone and water all contribute to the number seen on the scales each week, that is why it is not a good way to determine body composition progress. for example, in your first week of training you could lose 1 lb of f*t and add 1 lb of muscle leaving your weight where you started. but if you were to check the progress by your measurements you would reduced in size.

🏗 one pound of muscle is four times smaller then one pound of f*t because muscle is denser than fat. building lean muscle through simple compound exercises and clean nutrition is the most efficient and healthiest way in raising your metabolism!

2 mi tempo run on the tm courtesy of eminem’s new album 😆 dug deep and proved that i still got it in me! but i’m no hurry, my sweet spot in running these days is about a 10:30/mi pace. i love running this pace right now - it’s very stress relieving for me and i can really get into a run and actually enjoy it! not that haulin a*s is not enjoyable if you know what i mean 😆
so today was obviously a late gym sesh. i was mom’ing and adulting all day and missed my window but headed out at about 7:30 in an effort to chase the guilty feelings away! who can relate 😆 i’m at the stage in my training where things are starting to become routine again and it’s less and less of a chore to get my workouts in! yesss! finally!! i was seriously anticipating this stage. followed up with 10 mins stair climber and 20 mins of glute exercises. and now i rest...

trying to master the hip thrusts and perfect my form. slowing down your reps helps tremendously with mind muscle connection 😌💪🏼 it’s not necessarily better to go faster during your workouts. try kicking it up a notch and pause at the peak of each rep to really feel the burn 🔥 this goes for any workout 🤩
