here’s the thing, we all understand the concept of building muscle: do more work, muscles will grow. but when it comes to abs, for some reason people forget that it works the same way. the more ab exercises you do, the more your abs will grow. but if you haven’t lost enough f*t around your waist and you’re still doing tons of ab workouts because you “want to be able to see your six pack,” you might be working in the opposite direction. if you still have that f*t around the waist, the more ab exercises you do, the more your abs will grow and push that f*t outward. thus, making you look worse than before. we all have abdominal muscles. but to be able to visibly see them, you need to lose fat. you cannot spot train your abs nor can you expect to do tons of ab exercises and expect a six pack (again, we all have abs, there’s just f*t stacked on top). and one of the biggest mistakes i see people making is doing side bends with weights to get rid of love handles. doing side bends will actually make your external obliques grow and it will push the love handles outward, making your waist look wider than before. so what is the solution? eat right (this is the most important) and stay at a caloric deficit, do full body hiit workouts along with your strength training to help your body lose f*t overall, and trust the process. no process is easy, but if you stay consistent and disciplined, anyone can get there! 🤙🏼 .

☠️ a lot of people avoid the deadlift because they think it's dangerous, but it's actually a very safe exercise (if you learn proper form first, before increasing weights as you should do with any exercise).

💥 when you perform the deadlift, you don't need someone to spot you, and if you can't handle the weight, you can just drop the weights, compared to exercises like the bench press where you'd drop the weight on yourself if you just let it go. 🤷‍♂️

so - always focus on proper form before trying to increase weights on the deadlift, and you'll be fine.

⭐️ there are even more benefits than mentioned in the image, such as massive improvement in grip strength, increased f*t burning, it prevents injury by strengthening the muscles around critical tendons and ligaments.

Trying to build muscle? you may need to increase your nutritional intake!

by this i mean increasing your calorie intake and doing it the right way. calories need to be increased because you need a surplus to build muscle. of course, that means lots more protein. but you need to space it out throughout the day in 25-30g amounts rather than all at once. but that doesn't just mean you need to eat meat all day long, or at all. ive been vegetarian my whole life and i can tell you first hand that you can build strong lean muscle on a vegetarian or even a vegan diet. this means you may need to find a protein powder that helps you meet your needs more efficiently. you may also have to find other sources of protein as well! you also need to make sure youre taking in a good portion of fats and carbs based on your goals. when it comes to building muscle, you must eat at a surplus to be able to gain muscle (yes you will gain some f*t as well) so that when you start cutting and go into a caloric deficit, you lose more f*t (more muscle mass = more f*t burn, depending on other factors) and will be able to maintain most of the muscle you built. building muscle is a long and slow process, but if you train right and eat properly, anyone can succeed! it’s a very realistic goal to have, you just have to stay disciplined!

when most people try to put on some extra muscle, they usually go about it by focusing on the wrong things.

❌ while some things like excessively eating highly processed foods to consume more calories might gain you some weight, it's not a long-term strategy and it's far from optimal.

to keep it simple, you want to focus on gradually increasing your calorie intake by around 250-500 calories over maintenance level, and mainly eat nutrient-dense whole foods.

⬆️ keep your protein and carb intake high.

in the gym, focus on compound lifts and then your accessory exercises.

😴 a big mistake a lot of people make is to not get enough rest. your body needs to recover to grow stronger and to build muscle, and this happens during your rest periods. so make sure you get at least 7-8 hours of quality sleep.

🤦‍♂️ my bad! the lateral and long head in the post should change place. not working late on another saturday again. sorry guys!

🍖 a big chunk of muscle on your arms is the triceps, and if you want to get bigger arms, you should definitely be training your triceps!

a common mistake many novices make is to only focus on isolation exercises for the tricep, but what you actually want to do is incorporate compound movements! (yeah i promote compounds almost every day, but it's for one huge reason - they are effective!)

🏋️‍♂️ compound movements for your triceps include dips and bench press (a close grip makes it target your triceps more, and you're able to lift heavy weights on it).

some things to focus on:
🔹lift more weight over time (progressive overloading).
🔹 use dumbbells, barbells and cables.
🔹 use compound exercises (here i go again 🤷‍♂️).
🔹 concentrate on mind-muscle connection and squeeze your triceps.

• the main focus in both exercises is to achieve a strong/active foot by being evenly weighted through the inside and outside of the forefoot.
• maintaining this even weight distribution and pushing the webbing of the toes into the wood to activate all of the intrinsic musculature of the foot.
1️⃣ single leg holds: very challenging to keep your balance and a rock solid forefoot. this will light your foot and ankle up nicely, and tie your single leg hip control into it.
2️⃣ forefoot squats: squatting with the heels off demands an active foot. maintaining a strong base throughout and controlling the squat through range is a great warmup or activation drill.

e aí você desiste achando que estacionou no peso...
já parou pra pensar que você pode estar perdendo gordura e ao mesmo tempo promovendo uma construção muscular?
falo para todos os meus alunos, especialmente para as mulheres: pare de se pesar! tire a balança do banheiro. jogue a pilha fora.
imagine comigo: 1kg de chumbo x 1kg de algodão...
1kg de chumbo = m***a magra
1kg de algodão = m***a gorda
ambos são 1kg, porém, o volume do kg de algodão comparado ao kg de chumbo é muito maior.
conseguiram enxergar a diferença?
gordura faz muito volume no seu corpo, já a m***a magra nem tanto. e não adianta se pesar 3x ao dia. nem em jejum. nem depois do banho. não vejo a lógica disso.
o peso que você tem na sexta é diferente do peso que você vai ter na segunda, principalmente se houver o famoso dia do lixo. e isso não quer dizer que você ganhou gordura e/ou perdeu m***a magra entende? a oscilação de peso num curto espaço de tempo provavelmente é líquido!
portanto esqueçam a balança. foque no seu treinamento, saúde, disposição, energia, sono, vitalidade, no espelho e nas roupas.
números são números. mantenha o foco total nos seus objetivos te garanto que terás resultados.

por que utilizar a flexão nórdica? • previne leões dos isquiotibiais (posterior de coxa) devido ao seu alongamento excêntrico; • desenvolvimento de força; • não necessita de máquinas.

como executar a flexão nórdica?

o indivíduo ficará ajoelhado, com os tornozelos fixos ao solo com o auxílio de um espaldar ou de outro indivíduo e sempre deve-se manter um ângulo alinhado entre as coxas e o tronco.
o exercício se inicia inclinando o tronco em direção ao solo lentamente, priorizando a fase de descida (fase excêntrica), próximo ao solo, deve-se utilizar os braços para amortecer a queda e auxiliar a fase de subida (fase concêntrica), assim evitando uma sobrecarga na musculatura.

quem pode realizar a flexão nórdica?

recomenda-se que este exercício seja executado por pessoas com certa experiência, pois devido a sua dificuldade para iniciantes pode ser lesivo em caso de má execução.
