meal prep: shrimp style! happy monday loves. continuing my meal prep series with a few ideas using one of my favorite proteins. by @starinfinitefood
i love shrimp because they take on so much flavor and are super easy to make! i simply sautéed a pound of shrimp (seasoned with salt and pepper) in some coconut oil. they typically take 2 mins per side when thawed on medium high unless they are jumbo sized. you could easily steam them as well. then filled the glass containers with some greens and topped them off! if you plan to reheat the meal, you could put the greens in a separate bag and add them after!•


1️⃣ greens, sautéed shrimp tossed in cilantro, avocado, sweet chili air fried potatoes and some no added sugar ketchup.
2️⃣ shrimp tossed in teryaki sauce (i used my homemade sauce sweetened with dates), pineapple, cauliflower rice with lime juice and cilantro, avocado and sriracha cashews.
3️⃣ sautéed shrimp, @eatbanza pasta with my cherry tomato sauce (recipe a few posts back), steamed asparagus and a lemon
4️⃣ shrimp tossed in a little lemon, dill, plus some olives, greek salad (cherry tomatoes, cucumber, feta, dill, salt, pepper, red onion and a little olive oil and lemon), air fried cauliflower gnocchi with paprika and dill. •

1. easy 10 minutes baked salmon 🐟 seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, lemon and olive oil over peppery watercress 🍃, along with two hard boiled eggs 🥚, half an avocado 🥑, cucumber 🥒, tomato 🍅 and olives. it was a super satisfying and delicious meal!

✔ Физические нагрузки и правильное питание🏋🏻 👉Прием пищи в сочетании с физическими нагрузками может как помочь набрать вес, так и избавиться от него – все зависит от времени и рациона питания. Поэтому система правильного питания для похудения основывается на следующих принципах: 🍏За 2-3 часа до тренировки – основной прием пищи.
🍏Если это невозможно, то за 30-40 минут до фитнеса можно перекусить йогуртом, творогом или кефирчиком – эти кисломолочные продукты являются поставщиками белка для наших мышц и к тому же быстро перевариваются. Дополнительно в качестве источника энергии скушаем фрукт или выпьем натуральный сок.
🍏Во время тренировки обязательно пьем понемногу минеральную воду без газа.
🍏После тренировки нужно съесть белковую еду, а вот жирная пища категорически под запретом. Поэтому сразу после занятия (в течение 20-30 минут) можно выпить белковый коктейль или съесть немного творога.
🍏Если вы ложитесь спать спустя 4-5 часов после занятий фитнесом, вполне можно устроить себе полноценный ужин (но до 7 часов, не забываем), например, из рыбы с овощами.

recipe (yields 12 rolls)⁣⠀
🌱ingredients:⁣⠀
~ 12 napa cabbage leaves, cleaned & white part trimmed off⁣⠀
~ 14oz extra firm tofu, drained & mashed (used a cheesecloth to squeeze all the liquid out)⠀
~ 1/4 cup chopped carrot⁣⠀
~ 1/4 cup frozen peas⁣⠀
~ 4 caps mushrooms⁣, diced⠀
~ 4oz water chestnuts, diced⠀
~ 1 teaspoon cornstarch⁣⠀
~ oil, sesame oil, white pepper, salt to taste⁣⠀
🌱sauce: 1 cup veggie stock, 1 teaspoon stir fry sauce/soy sauce, cornstarch slurry, salt & white pepper to taste⁣⠀
⁣⠀
✅to make the filling, sauté mushrooms in 2 teaspoons oil until aromatic, then continue to stir fry carrot for about 2 mins over low-med heat. place mushrooms, carrots, mashed tofu, peas & chestnuts in a mixing bowl. season with 3 teaspoons sesame oil, 1 teaspoon salt & a few dashes of white pepper (season accordingly). using a spatula, mix in cornstarch until all incorporated & set aside.⁣⠀
✅bring a p*t of water to boil & season with a pinch of salt. blanch cabbage leaves for about 1 min or until slightly soft. remove & pat dry with a paper towel. ⁣⠀
✅to make the cabbage roll, take about 1-2 tablespoons of filling & form it into a thick log shape. place the filling in the middle of the cooked cabbage leaf, then roll to wrap it. continue until you are done with all the mixture, then steam the rolls over high heat for 8-10 mins.⁣⠀
✅meanwhile, make the sauce by adding veggie stock in a shallow p*t & bring it to boil. season it with stir fry sauce/soy sauce & stir in the cornstarch slurry & cook for 1 min until it thickens (season with more salt if needed).⁣⠀
✅when the rolls are done steaming, drain the extra liquid (if any) & then ladle the sauce over. serve with chili crisp in soy sauce.⁣😋

Deer roast with sautéed pepper and onions with a salad. so simple yet so good!
it was a planned cheat day today and y’all know i tend to get crazy when it comes to cheating and more often than not it turns into a binge. today was not the case!
i treated myself to a small sized crystal light slushie and added a couple layers of ice cream in it and then after supper i took out some keto baking from the freezer. which i forgot how filling it is, i probably ate too much of it and then shared a bowl of popcorn with my love. so all in all i didn’t do too bad with my choices! very happy! we had a very low key day at home just enjoying each others company and it was honestly the best way we could have spent it ❤️ no running around, no craziness, no having to drive anywhere or going into the city. just at home cuddled up. 🥰 i couldn’t have asked for a better day. everyday with him is the best day ❤️ .

Dinner tonight! tumeric & honey 🍯 roasted veggies 🥕 with 1 p*t mashed potatoes 🥔 & parmesan crusted chicken 🍗 about 30 minutes to make this one!
veggies: preheat to 400° use about 1/4 c olive oil and 1/8 c honey, toss- sprinkle with tumeric, garlic powder, sea salt, chili powder - move around every 15 min or so until cooked through add spinach after taking out. mix with hot veggies
chicken-
mix 1/2 c bread crumbs with 1/4 c parmesan, garlic powder & salt heat 1/8 c olive oil in a skillet on med - high. add chicken, turn when browned cook through.
mashed potatoes: boil water in a large p*t -peel and dice potatoes -check with a fork and turn off heat when potatoes are tender. drain and let sit for about 2-4 min add back to p*t with 3t butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, mix with mixer. add 4 t half and half or heavy cream - mix until creamy add more cream for desired consistency too with butter and pepper

this dish is amazing if you’re trying to cut down on carbs! very simple to make and tastes delicious 😋 ⁣

📝ingredients📝⁣
(for 2 servings)⁣
1 tablespoon olive oil⁣
1 chicken breast, diced⁣
1 cup cherry tomatoes(200 g), halved⁣
½ teaspoon salt⁣
½ teaspoon pepper⁣
½ teaspoon garlic powder⁣
1 teaspoon dried basil⁣
2 zucchinis, peeled⁣
1 teaspoon salt⁣
1 tablespoon olive oil⁣
2 cloves garlic, minced⁣
¼ cup chicken broth(60 ml)⁣
½ cup greek yogurt(140 g)⁣
½ cup parmesan cheese(55 g), grated⁣
½ teaspoon dried basil⁣

👩‍🍳preparation👨‍🍳⁣
1. use a peeler to thinly slice zucchini into “linguini” noodles. set aside in a bowl and mix with salt. let sit for 20 minutes to draw moisture out of the noodles. drain the zucchini with a clean dish cloth or paper towels.⁣
2. heat olive oil in a large skillet. add in chicken breast, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. cook until no longer pink. add in zucchini noodles, cherry tomatoes, and dried basil. cook for an additional minute and remove from heat. set aside in a bowl.⁣
3. heat olive oil for for the creamy sauce in the skillet. add in garlic cloves and cook for about 30 seconds. add in chicken broth to cool skillet, and reduce heat to low. (this step is important: if skillet is too hot, the greek yogurt will curdle, so allow it to cool down before adding it in).⁣
4. add in greek yogurt, parmesan, and dried basil. mix until well combined. add in the chicken, zoodles, and tomato mixture. mix together and then remove from heat.⁣
5. serve and enjoy🌱😋⁣

that being said, you can still save time by prepping differently!⁣
1. protein sources: portion your protein sources into separate freezer friendly containers/bags and freeze them. each time you want fresh protein, take it out of the freezer preferably the night before.⁣
2. vegetables: wash and chop up your veggies and make them ready to cook in a pan or in the oven. might sound like it’s not a big deal but saves you so much time!⁣
3. carbs: measure and portion for each day and place them separately in airtight containers and cook them whenever you like.⁣
4. fats: you don’t need to do anything extra for f*t sources. i’d use grass fed butter/ghee, extra v****n coconut oil for cooking and extra v****n olive oil for drizzling on top of your meals! avacodo tip: if you cut your avocados in half, squeeze lemon juice and make sure to store them in an airtight container (usually glass containers are the best) !!⁣

can babies teach us about losing weight? …..think….. learning to roll, sit,crawl,walk……. have you ever seen a baby fail to learn how to walk? no matter how many times a baby falls, she/he will get right back up and try again.

they do not get discouraged or frustrated. they do not get fed up and quit. they just happily keep trying until the job is done. adopt this attitude for weight loss and you won't fail either!

if everyone approached weight loss the way babies approach learning to walk, no one would be overweight.
