these past several weeks have reminded me just how much they mean to me and just how precious our life is. it is so easy in the hustle and bustle of life to take those around us for granted. our family has been reminded though that all of this can change in a blink of an eye.⠀
i am reminded to live each moment to the fullest. cherish all of those around you. focus on the good in your life. and don’t forget to tell those that matter most to you, just how much they do mean to you.⠀

Bulletproof tea☕️ it’s been a fun summer filled with family, friends, fun… and lots of good food! and now it’s time for this girl to get back on keto. i usually eat keto a few months at a time and take breaks in between. my parents, on the other hand, are die hards. they’ve been at it for over 5 years. .
my dad studied it out and decided he wanted to make the change to support a healthy heart, post heart attack, and my mom sees the benefits in her lifestyle choices in managing ms- which include lots of essential oils and dōterra’s lifelong vitality supplements! .
my parents eat what they grow (mostly) on their 80 acre hobby farm, and stick to keto with a few short breaks of paleo in between. my dad’s heart is healthy, my mom is experiencing fewer flare-ups, & they look incredible! you’d never guess they’re in their mid-late sixties. they are my heroes.✨ .
we’ll see how long i go this time. i always want the added health benefits of keto, but between you and me, i just want my clothes to fit comfortably. today is day #1, and i already want to chew my arm off. it’s those first few days of keto adapting that are the hardest, and then it feels much easier. .
so here’s my favorite breakfast when i just can’t do eggs any longer, and i’m in a hurry. thanks for introducing this to me last year, @talk2tanya ✨
bulletproof tea - 1-2 tea bags of your favorite tea
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon mct (medium chain triglyceride) oil - 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- add stevia to taste - add himalayan salt to taste
- 2-3 drops of your favorite dōterra essential oil
1. brew tea as normal.
2. add butter, mct oil, cream, stevia, himalayan salt, & essential oils.
3. blend on high speed for 20-30 seconds until frothy.
4. pour into your favorite mug, and enjoy!
note: when choosing an essential oil to add to your tea, make sure it’s an oil that is intended for internal use following appropriate recommended doses. i picked ginger today, but there are so many oils to choose from. one of my favorite resources is dōterra’s ebook entitled “internal use of essential oils.” it’s free and easy to find by doing a quick google search.✨

on work days it’s 20-30min dinners cause, well, the kids are whinging to be fed by 5pm 😂 and it’s a race to get through dinner, bath and bed too after getting home.
so i lovvvvvve adding oregano into our spag & meatballs. one drop makes such a huge difference, and it takes literally 2 seconds to do.

this is one of my favorite summer snacks. sometimes, i even make a meal out of it. one thing’s for certain. there are never leftovers. it’s always a hit. here’s how i make it…👇🏻
3-4 drops dōterra lime essential oil
1-2 drops dōterra cilantro essential oil
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 mangos, diced
1 can corn, drained & rinsed
1 can black beans, drained & rinsed
1 red onion, finely chopped
1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
1 lime, juiced
1 avocado, diced
1. infuse essential oils: add dōterra lime & cilantro essential oil to 2 tablespoons olive oil. set aside.
2. gently stir mango, corn, black beans, red onion, & cilantro with lime juice.
3. drizzle essential oil infused olive oil.
4. gently stir in diced avocado.
5. serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
Ok so i didn’t make this, but i’m surely tempted to! looks delicious and uses 2-3 essential oils too, even more reason to try 🌿😍

Last weekend of blackberry picking, at least in our area.⠀
it was our first year of doing blackberries and it was such a joy for the entire family. the boys absolutely loved picking the berries. pretty sure they each ate their weight in blackberries! i have had so much fun freezing, canning, and cooking with these juicy berries!⠀
we have enjoyed cobbler, syrup, jam, and smoothies. before the summer heat leaves i think we are going to whip up some blackberry ice cream!⠀

Day 1 - making meals with essential oils
i’m kicking off with one of my favourite breakfasts.... a delicious wild orange and cacao superfood smoothie bowl. i love making these healthy bowls. you can load them up so easily with superfood goodness and they set you up really well for the day.
using essential oils provides even more benefits and adds to the delicious taste too. doterra oils are certified pure therapeutic grade oils and the majority of them are safe to ingest. it’s a great way to support your body at a cellular level and give you more options for usage. it’s also fun to experiment with oils in the kitchen.
i can only speak for doterra oils though so don’t go consuming any old essential oil.
