Tonight's dinner made it into our top favs. interestingly enough we totally made it up with no prior recipe...😂 those are the best ones right? .
this savory dinner included rosemary. rosemary is beneficial for aiding in digestion, reducing fatigue, and emotionally is the oil of knowledge and transition, to name just a few benefits.
.
for the recipe:
we took one pound of organic ground icelandic lamb, a handful of pecorino cheese, 6 garlic cloves minced, and 2-3 drops rosemary oil. combined and rolled into 2 inch meat balls. .

we then added chopped organic green beans, carrots and red potatoes and about a half cup of organic veggie broth. all combined in a baking dish and baked at 400 for a little over an hour. on the side we had fluffy egg noodles. savory, fresh, and delicious. .

what's your favorite way to use rosemary? .

I’ve actually been meal planning this week and making much healthier meals. i went to make this greek quinoa salad and didn’t have any dried dill or dried oregano. thankfully i had oregano vitality. all i did was stuck a toothpick in the bottle and swirled it in the dressing i was making. i just wish i would have had dill vitality-next time. bonus is, that oregano vitality is amazing at supporting the immune system. and, with the season we’re entering, i want all the support i can get!

I always use essential oils in my salad dressing. this one used a drop of basil and a drop of bergamot. we tasted it with oils and without. yum!

Keeping all the things organized and pretty!
.
.
today it's my desert mist diffuser and window clings! go to your local dollar general or walmarts (yes, with an s, cause that's how we say it round here!) and pick out a cute sheet of fall window clings! it's not a great stick, but it works well enough, and you can peel them off and decorate for the next season! the dewdrop would be excellent for this, because it doesn't have an raised parts like the desert mist.
.
.
and my new favorite thing is the oil caddy! this came with the culinary set and i love it!! now i have a cute place to hold my vitality oils when i cook and the color label oils for my diffuser!
.
.
i am always in my kitchen, cooking, cleaning, solving life's problems, so i want my diffuser there with me to help me deal with it all!
.
.
and all my fall favs are on the caddy~ clove, thieves, orange...🍁🍁🍁❤❤❤
.
.
.
do you dress up your diffuser??
did you order the culinary set and now are in ❤ with the caddy too?

How do you keep your cooking oils from not leaking everywhere in your rv? this is a good way even if you’re living not in an rv, but i couldn’t go without my cooking oils, but since they’re messy & heavy.....this was my idea. 👍🏼👏🏼😉😁. i try to buy the plastic bottles, but most of them are still in glass. (always have to be aware of the weight limit of your rv) 😉plus, when we move the rv, they stay put and no clean up spills later! 😉👍🏼 #funlovingrv #fulltimervers #fulltimervlife #gdrv4life #gorving #granddesignsolitude379fls #granddesignrv #rvfulltime #rvblogger #blogger #cookingwithoils #pantryorganization #cooking #cookinginanrv @granddesignrv

How do you start using your oils more? put them in places that you will use them! i have oils like lemon, basil, rosemary, turmeric, oregano, pink pepper, and ginger in my kitchen so i am reminded to drop the goodness into my tea, smoothie, water, cocktail, or pasta sauce! if your oils are therapeutic grade and high quality you can get all the benefits of the oils by ingesting them! and they are so potent you usually only need a drop to get the flavor you are looking for ✨
.
.
.
.
oils like frankincense, geranium, tea tree, magnolia, and eucalyptus live on my vanity for skin and hair care
.
.
.
.
oils like serenity, lavender, balance, and wild orange are on my bedside for my diffuser for sleepy time
.
.
.
.
oils like purify, lemongrass, on guard, and lemon i have in my cleaning supply cabinet .
.
.
place them where you will remember to use them! nothing makes me more sad than oils that just sit in a box that never get used. they are treasures filled with natural powers for healing, beautifying, cleaning, and balancing! use them!!! .

.
much love & namaste,

Try this delicious recipe for fudge... this is a great treat for your halloween party and even the holidays! 🎃 🦃 🎄
ingredients:
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 small can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (about 2/3 cup) (do not use sweetened condensed milk.)
3 pkg. (4 oz. each) baker’s semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1 jar (7 oz.) jet-puffed marshmallow creme
1 tsp. vanilla
orange or cinnamon essential oil

make it
line 9-inch square pan with parchment paper, with ends of foil extending over sides. bring sugar, butter and evaporated milk to full rolling boil in 3-qt. saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. cook 4 min. or until candy thermometer reaches 234°f, stirring constantly. remove from heat.
add chocolate and marshmallow creme; stir until melted. add vanilla; mix well. add essential oil of choice: approx 3 drops of cinnamon or 5 drops of orange. test the flavor! you may want a stronger flavor. intensify flavor 1 drop at a time until satisfied.

pour into prepared pan; spread to cover bottom of pan. cool completely. lift fudge from pan before cutting into 1-inch squares. enjoy! #fudge #dessert #chocolate #cookingwithoils #cooking #baking #bakingseason #essentialoil #recipe #theoilmessengers #treatyoself

I've been intuitively reaching for nutmeg in every diffuser blend lately.
come to find out, its a champ when it comes to adrenals. ♡
this has been a season of some of the deepest emotional stress i've ever faced, and i know that physical burnout has been manifesting as well.
................................................................... .
.
just some of the signs of adrenal fatigue so many of us experience when we're consistently under stress: -difficulty getting up in the morning
-fatigue during the day
-stressed/overwhelmed
-cravings for salty foods
-higher level of energy in the evenings
-overuse stimulants like coffee and sugar
-weakened immune system
-asthma/allergies
-dark circled under the eyes
-weight gain (especially in stomach)
.
.
....................................................................
.
so, what are adrenals and what do they do?

we have two adrenal glands, and they play an important role in producing the hormones that we need, particularly during times of stress. they sit just above our kidneys, which are in the middle of our lower back area. we have one adrenal gland for each kidney.
the adrenals control our cortisol levels and fight/flight responses. cortisol controls our sleep/waking cycle, stress, helps us generate energy from non-carbohydrate foods, and regulate our blood pressure.

what can we do to help our adrenal fatigue? - skip the sugary /processed foods. reach for real, whole, simple, healthy ingredients. & research the foods to support adrenals! + prayer, yoga, gratitude, journaling, eo's, and deep breathing can be so helpful to reduce stress. & get better sleep by improving our sleep habits and diffusing all those calming oils ;) + take adrenal supporting supplements.

what are your favorite / natural ways you support these areas? 💛

Apple cider immune gummies (for little and big kids alike)! i'll admit, these were a happy kitchen mistake that my kids gobbled up so fast that i'll be making again. think of them like a healthy update on a jello jiggler (remember those?). 1 cup of apple cider
4 tablespoons of @greatlakesgelatin
1 drop of @doterra on guard essential oil
honey optional (i didn't use, but you could if you like it sweeter)

heat cider and gelatin together over medium heat in a saucepan and whisk until dissolved. remove from heat and add 1 drop of oil and stir. pour into desired molds and then let cool in fridge until set.
we used aspic cutters to make gummie shapes, but you could use whatever you have on hand! -------
on guard is a blend of essential oils that provide support for the immune system. it ads a nice flavor while also being beneficial. i am super conservative when taking essential oils internally and would be happy to chat about how/why i use doterra exclusively.
