a high-carb diet can produce quick energy for physical exertion, at least in the short term. carbohydrates metabolize quickly, providing the body’s main source of fuel, which is why athletes often eat high-carb foods in preparation for an event. ask yourself - when you hit the gym - are you there as an athlete trying to bust out pbs while in beast mode for workouts - or are you just on a attempting to fad diet and follow the crow while going through the motions?

while obviously genetics and age do play a role, eating the right nutrients can help give you a leg up when it comes to healthy hair. i know i constantly get asked how i get my hair so healthy and i attribute that a good amount to how clean my diet is.

breakdown of each food below:
.
1 - spinach - is a good course of folate iron and vitamin a & c which all promote hair growth.
.
2 - salmon - a 2015 study found fish oil supplementation to reduce hair loss & increase hair growth in women with thinning hair (1) also salmon is a good source of protein, selenium & vitamin d3/b vitamins that support hair growth.
.
3 - berries - are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that promote hair growth. vitamin c is used to produce collagen which helps strengthen hair.
.
4 - avocados - a good source of vitamin e which was shown in this 2010 study to boost hair growth by 34.5% in people who were having issues with hair loss. (2) avocados are also a good source of fatty acids which are important building blocks of cells.

5 - eggs - good source of protein & biotin which support hair growth. biotin is important for the production of the hair protein, keratin.
.
6 - sweet potatoes - are a good source of beta-carotene which the body converts to vitamin a. vitamin a helps with production of sebum, which keeps hair healthy.

a veces sinceramente no me dan ganas de comer nada de proteína animal 🙈....la semana pasada sebas y yo estuvimos incluyendo proteína de origen vegetal a más comidas principales y por ahí me salió esta sabrosura de bowl ☺️!

puse una cama de mix de hojas verdes sazonadas con un poquito de sal, pimienta y por encima tiene:
- quinoa con nueces caramelizadas ( en post anteriores les ensene como caramelizarlas)
- ahuyama horneada con pizca de aceite de oliva y mucha canela
- portobellos y zuccinis asados con pizca de aceite de oliva y sal.
- remolacha horneada
- semillas de calabaza tostadas
- pizca de mango maduro en tiras
- guacamole que fue como mi aderezo para este mega bowl ¡!!✨

in case you’re wondering what‘s in a bircher bowl it’s pretty much overnight oats, but with a few frills like adding coconut yogurt, shaved apple, nuts and seeds. the combo is pure bliss, especially topped with lush almond butter and homemade strawberry jam. if figs are hard to find for you, persimmon or apple would also be delish. .
