✖️chest day ✖️i didn’t get the best sleep so everything felt extra heavy 😅. i still pushed through and did what i could. i mentioned i went off track with my diet (ate at maintenance/slight surplus) but i’m back on it & consistently hitting everything each day. i thought i would be back where i left off a lot quickly but i guess the gain wasn’t water weight 😂😂😂. .

Back progress pic from a few weeks ago. sorry for the inactivity lately, i needed time away because i wasn’t giving my self any recovery time for like 2 weeks and i ended up getting throbbing pains in my biceps and wrist from over use. my car also broke down and i’ve been playing catch-up to get it fixed (still not fixed). even though my upper body was done i still did cardio, abs and several leg days 🤣

1: avocado/beef/mushroom 🥑🍄⠀
form a pattie or use a pattie maker, preheat cast iron pan to medium-high, add the ghee, cook the pattie, don't touch for 3 minutes, sauté the mushrooms and spinach until wilted on the other side around 3 minutes, turn over pattie and repeat ^ 3 minutes do not touch or fiddle! otherwise will not create a crust and will stick and break, turn heat off and place a spinach leaf like a wrap or use collard green or lettuce wrap, whatever is at your disposal & finally... enjoy!⠀

2: ultimate sour dough, egg & mushroom 🥚🥖⠀
heat a wide saucepan on medium heat. add 1/4 of the oil. add the sliced mushrooms + 1/2 finely chopped garlic + 1/2 of the rosemary. sauté until cooked for 4 minutes or so. whisk the eggs. heat an oven grill and toast the bread for 2 mins per side. remove the mushrooms. add 1/2 of oil and add the eggs. gently fold the side of the eggs in a clockwise fashion when they just appear set. turn the heat off when they are 80% of the way cooked. the residue heat will finish it off. remove the bread and add the remaining 1/4 of oil and then rub the rosemary and garlic on the warm bread. this smells like heaven.⠀

3: chicken & veg tray 🐔🥕⠀

120’s wouldn’t move past half today, that’s okay, a goal to crush in the future. 💪🏽 the good news is that my frustration did allow me to get the 100’s for 7 reps which is a personal best. i was done at 5 reps, you can see the struggle, but pure spite gave me another 2.

essential cues to follow:
◆ maintain back arch that you are comfortable with
◆ ensure your shoulder blades are retracted and depressed
◆ plant your feet underneath your knees for optimum leg drive
◆ eyes up in line with the bar
◆ tighten your core before descent
◆ control your descent and don't drop the weight on your chest
◆ don't let your wrists bend or glutes raise from the bench while performing the movement
