Here’s two helpful tips that will help you get the most out of the box squat without wrecking your back in the process. first, it’s important you choose a box low enough to get you to parallel. so, always pick something lower than parallel and throw a thin plate on to adjust up rather than settling for something too high and losing a great deal of the benefit of the move. second, watch out for that backwards sway at the bottom. the goal is not to release the tightness of your core and actually sit on the box. even a split second of this destabilizing mistake is enough to place a huge compressive load on the lumbar spine in its most unprotected position. instead, stay tight and “kiss” the box with your ass!! never kiss a*s - that won’t help you here - just barely touch and maintain the back angle established at the start. no rocking! give this a try and i promise you’ll feel this in a way you haven’t felt before. a better way. let the gains begin! #boxsquats #squats #pauseforeffect #saveyourback #parallel #legday #megasoreass #teamathlean #jeffcavaliere #athleanx

If you want big wide round legs, you have to train them accordingly. your quads, are a huge muscle group. the largest in your body in fact. you have especially train these muscles with volume for best results.
today i will hit my legs up.
these are not in particular order.
i make sure to stretch 15-20 minutes after my leg workouts. it helps move the lactic acid out of the muscles and i feel less of the "jelly legs" affect afterwards.

1. bulgarian spit squats
2. leg press
3. reverse hack squat
4. calf raises
5. hip abduction machine
6. hip adduction machine
7. reverse lunges

Three things i learned from this barbell hold challenge. the first is that an entire human torso can turn from pale to lobster red in under a minute. second, when the goal is to last longer than a minute and the video is on instagram (with its one minute time limit) it means i gave away the ending and didn’t make it!! third, jesse sucks at keeping time!! the man psyched me out. got in my head. i easily had another 20 seconds. i think 🙄 anyway, if you’re gonna try this, resting the bar on your distal forearms is designed to not let your grip be the limiting factor but realize it does make the weight of the bar feel just a bit lighter! no matter how you do it though, it’s a true ball buster...just like jesse #barholdchallenge #tryit #shoulders #brutal #noquit #grind #everysecondcounts #delts #teamathlean #jeffcavaliere #athleanx

I ended up recording one set of these 2 exercises yesterday without interrupting my workout flow.👌💪 with the isometirc ez curls go 25% heavier. since you are not doing the full range of motion your muscles can support more load. don't let your elbows drop below a 90° angle. make sure to engage your core.

with the prone incline kettle bell curls make sure you go as heavy as you can without having to use momentum to swing the weights up towards your shoulders.

Here's another single leg stability exercise, this time with a resistance band.

as shown in the video, the band pulls the working leg towards the midline of the body. the hip stabilizing muscles will then have to resist the pull to prevent the knees from caving in.

this is very useful for people with knees that cave inwards during a squad, work those hip stabilizers and your knees will take a lesser beating and thank you for it.

Late night strength. lo único que quería era estar acostadito, pues no me siento muy bien 🤧. es muy raro que entrene exclusivamente fuerza y más cuándo ya casi es mañana. pero hoy fué la hora del día que tuve tiempo, o más bien me hice. y debo aceptarlo, "espalda" y todo lo que involucre jalar es mi punto débil pero precisamente eso fue mi motivación final para ir al gym. balance. crea tu tiempo de tu entrenamiento, sin descuidar otras áreas de tí ⚖️. when warming up and preparing for a workout, it is important to work on power exercises that use the muscle groups that you are training for the day in a similar way to the exercises you have programmed. single leg slams are my go-to movement for a heavy deadlift day! this exercise works on acceleration & deceleration, while also working on stability and speed of hip flexion/extension, resembling the movements done in a deadlift. always give 100% effort into every slam, and try to break the floor with that ball!

form is absolutely key when rowing. its hard for most people to feel their lats working when doing many back exercises. some mental cues i use to feel the muscles in my back are to imagine pinching a pencil in the middle of my back by retracting my scapula. i also always picture my hands as hooks and focus on pulling through my pinky fingers and not using my thumb and pointer fingers when gripping the handles. this helps me feel a stronger contraction in my lats. when i introduced these mental cues it greatly increased the effectiveness of my rows. keep these in mind next time your hitting back and i bet you’ll notice a difference.

tricep pushdown💪🏽 met deze oefening train je vooral je triceps! doordat je grip net andersom is als dat je waarschijnlijk gewend bent, pak je ook je onderarmen mee tijdens de oefening👌🏽 uitvoering:
1. houd je rug recht, leun iets voorover en pak het touw onderhands vast met de handpalmen naar boven toe gericht.
