How much truth is this?
.
reminder - yes working out reminds you to eat healthy but all this media makes us think that a perfect workout is the answer. no —-any workout (pretty much) is the answer- it’s the other stuff that makes all the difference. .

This is a common fact about cancer and lifestyle diseases that most people don’t understand. they immediately think (diabetes, hypertension, cancer etc.) are hereditary, and a person may be more susceptible to these conditions, but these are mostly self inflicted. know how to fight lifestyle diseases, let us help you. #hownottodie #howtobeatyourcancer #howtobeatlifestylediseases #greensmoothies #kaleislife #freshproduce #localfarmersmarket #rawvegan #rawvegansofig #rawveganlife #rawveganfitness #rawfood #vegan #vegetarian #plantbased #plantbaseddiet #plantbasedathlete #plantbasedfitness #plantbasedfood #hqic #healthquestinternationalclinic #philippineplantbaseddiet #healthcoach #alternativemedicine #integrativenutrition

Gooooood monday morning!!!
.
.
i used to think people my age were so old - they could never do, wear, pursue the things that i want to pursue. .
yes- hormones change in your 30s and 40s and 50s – actually starting from the age of 25. but that doesn’t mean that we pack up our bags and pout.
.
no matter what the diet, antiaging industry and men in the boardroom say — the best is yet to come 💫💫
.
.
promise 🙏🏽 i see it everyday.

⚡️loss⚡️
.
the amount of loss i experienced over the past year nearly drowned me. the loss of love and a partnership i thought was sacred and safe, the loss of a baby, the loss of meaningful friendships, the loss of loved ones. the loss of so much self.
.
numb. tired. scared shitless. and alone. faced with emptiness, innately tempted to start holding on tighter, attaching myself to what once was- or to the gut wrenching stories endured. looking for anything to keep me pacified and staying in my loss. because, if i’m not ‘in’ my loss, then where am i?
.
it’s the reaction to loss that generates fear of the unknown, constructing boundaries and limitations around self-healing and becoming present. cycles of conscious thoughts generate: unworthiness, despair, anxiety and depression overwhelm. .
for some, staying small in this fear is safer than growth. staying in repetitive patterns and cycles, called samskaras, is soothing- even if these habits are harmful to us. these samskaras are how we identify with self, they are comforting to us. .
the awareness of patterns and ratification of samskaras, is where healing ignites. within this state of vulnerability, being with one’s self, present with no crutches, toxins, tools, or attachments, we sit- we observe- we breathe.
and then we become buoyant enough to be moved.
moved through emotions.
moved from the release of past.
moved to the abundant future.
moved by divine onto our path of dharma.
.
surrendered to the balance of effort and ease, the ‘sthira’ and ‘sukha,’ we allow ourselves this shift. within the fragile balance between force and fluidity, we offer ourselves up to higher powers and release directional control of our dharma.
.
i’m here- with my arms up surrendering, i am raw and covered in tears, but i am here. i release my grip, i’m become softer, more connected to divine, and able to move freely with the wind and changing elements. it’s here- that i start to feel whole, as one.
.
here: a workshop series is a safe space for all to come and heal. please join us for our upcoming here workshop, saturday april 6th

thank you @thedetroitrose for giving me strength to share my story 🙏🏼

The holistic approach to patient care 👨‍⚕️⚕
//
real health and longevity takes daily work! 💪 there is no magic pill that creates health.
-
“the doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” - thomas edison, 1903
//
the key is making this approach to health and medicine profitable, which takes creativity and patience. many practitioners (not all!) want fast money right now, instead of playing the long game and laying a solid foundation, therefore they just prescribe medications to band-aid the symptoms (that and they have no other alternatives, which is for a different discussion).
-
🚨 this is not to say that pharmaceutical medications are not absolutely necessary in certain cases! they have their time and place. however, there is an over-prescription crisis happening right now in our society due to poor management of chronic diseases.
-
we have to address the root cause of why the symptoms are even appearing in the first place, which boils down to overall lifestyle habits 95% of the time (only 5% of chronic disease is due to genetics).

It's easy to underestimate the power of plants to heal your body’s toughest ailments. often, we go straight to over-the-counter medicines to treat our headaches, inflammation, and other syndromes. many of us have been conditioned to depend on prescription drugs all of our lives. if you aren’t yet, it’s time to familiarize yourself with nature’s medicine: healing herbs.

everything we need to heal ourselves is within our reach – as the laws of nature intended. #mothernature.
